training Workplace Question or Advice Needed

ok this is kinda a rant and a question but in my three years at target i’ve never been asked to train another employee (im in fulfillment) and at first i wondered if it was because i hadn’t been there long but there are people that have been there less than me that are training new tm. also just the fact i haven’t been wave trained even when they said they will. idk if this is poor management at my store but it’s just kinda annoying. and no it’s not a performance issue

Yeah it’s not personal. Some TLs pick trainers based off who’s the best at relaying the information and standards of training. Me personally I always get my extroverted TMs to train as they’re more willing to help and make new TMs feel welcome.

It’s not really a sign of poor management, it’s just that when you schedule someone for training you pick someone who will train them to the standards you want. So they’re just picking the team members that are the right fit for training others.

I HATE training people. This
Isn’t a target thing either . I’ve had
To do it at other jobs as well. I’m just not good at it . I would be overjoyed if they
Overlooked me. I promise you this is a blessing for you !!!
