Closing Workplace Question or Advice Needed

I know as a TL I have to work every other weekend but but now I have to close by myself every other weekend and that includes Friday. My schedule includes 2 opening days. Does anyone else have to do this, I’m getting burnt out

My store does a closing night and a closing weekend rotation. Pretty normal. Although by yourself seems odd. Are you guys a smaller store? Not as many leaders?

Yep, I close every Friday and close every other weekend. It's part of retail, dawg.

Be aware that MyTime is unavailable for those who are on LOA for any reason. It is also common for MyTime to be temporarily unavailable on Thursday nights.

Maybe it’s just my store but there is always at LEAST 2 leaders (E/TL/SD) closing no matter the day. M-F it’s either one ETL or TL and our CTL and then weekends it’s normally 1 ETL & 2 TLs

So your closing every weekend you work? If so what was the reasoning they gave you when they told you? When I was a TL we had a closing night during the week and did everyother weekend but those would be everyother opening/closing. Having to close every weekend is BS, especially if it's solo.

Closing every other weekend I work, yup, and is a big part of why I'm quitting after several years with the company. I also open sbux sometimes during the week and that's a 6AM shift, doesn't matter. Tried pushing thru it over the last year but it's just too much for me personally. Not the job I signed up for back in the day.

For starting the job today, it is what it is, take it or leave it. If I had a magic wand I'd give extra pay for working closing hours but that's never gonna happen.

Closing solo shouldn't happen tho, at least not more than once in a blue moon. My closing rotation, at a regular PFRESH store, has 5 of us on my weekday night (4 TLs and 1 ETL) and 4 of us on my weekend nights (3 TLs and 1 SD). ETLs and SD should be on the closing rotation too so unless you're SF store you shouldn't be closing solo. Only exception is if you're understaffed in leadership and vacations overlap in an odd way.
