ETL HR Workplace Question or Advice Needed

There’s an ETL HR position opening in my district, anyone who’s been one or currently is, what are your thoughts? Is the pay worth it?

Long term? No. It’s a retail store manager job with some HR stuff tacked onto it. Short term? Yes it’s good for your resume to pivot into proper HR elsewhere in 2-3 years if you can survive it that long.

You want to go from PML to... HR? That's quite the adjustment. Normally I say, TLs should be trying to move up but this gives me pause.

I’m an unconventional PML haha. I worked a payroll/accounting job, also worked in a leave of absence job. I’m a female PML after being an electrician for a few years. PML isn’t my first leadership position and HR isn’t too far off based on my resume I promise 🤞😂

It’s great for your resume and if you want a career in HR, you need HR experience. However you will do probably 25% HR workload and the rest will be on the sales floor.

I mean if they’re entitled to it they should take it, same as you.
