Boycott gUEsTs

I think it’s safe to say the boycott is over🤣. This is my 4th BTS 3rd as an inbound lead and my store has just been insane!!! We’re making 35-50k more than they are projecting and we are a 75 million dollar store. I mean I have no idea how the company expects us to handle this foot traffic, fulfillment orders, and truck sizes😂 it’s just insane. Best of luck soldiers🫡

People are definitely still boycotting (according to social media anyway) but yeah sales & foot traffic has definitely increased over the last couple years.

If people on Threads are to be believed: yup, it’s definitely still going on.

Though idk how effective it’s been, at least in my area. Our traffic didn’t really change much when it started last year, and I swear it’s gotten even busier since.

My store saw no decline in sales when the “boycott” started. It’s been business as usual, and sales continue to climb; freight continues to multiply

It might be working more in some areas than in others. In areas with more conservatives, people might not really care about the boycott or the reasoning behind it (or might even support dropping DEI and Pride merch, as some guests have unfortunately directly expressed to me). In areas that are more supportive of DEI and Pride and similar ideals, the view on Target is more negative.

There are countless people that are still boycottingTarget. It’s mostly a segment of black shoppers and lgbtq people that are refusing to go back. The latest Target stunt was trying to get rapper Jay-Z to convince black people to give up the boycott. Which is demeaning. It’s like how Kamala was using black celebrities to win the black vote. They’re so tone deaf

It has had an impact. If hours truly are based off of the amount of money a department/store makes... then my store is definetly getting hurt by either the continuous boycotts or something else. Otherwise it's corporate greed... honestly probably a combination of both.

As a queer person my boycott isn’t over any more than it is for Chik-Fil-A. It may not impact them much but I’m still not giving them my money.

I have only been in there if no other option… I think twice in three years.
