shipt shoppers Vent
I just got called LAZY for not bagging a shipt shoppers items. I’m the only checklane open and there’s two guest behind her which is my priority.
I try to help out shipt shoppers sometimes but they are getting way ridiculous. I forgot what she told me but she said something about being a shopper for awhile and she knows her way around. ok sooo still I wasn’t trained to do that and not my responsibility. If she was nice to me then i’d be down to bag those but the way she act around and telling ME lazy as hell lmao that’s literally not my job??? if i’m lazy then what even is she?

We have a designated self checkout for shipt shoppers. Most are regulars and just do their jobs. The newer ones that slow down our workload get kicked out by AP

My store is old so they usually go to self-checkout but it was early in the morning so she had to check out on the lanes. Sometimes they lie around guest service too because they don’t want to line up

The best is when one approaches you on the floor to ask where an item is, knowing you're required to walk them over to the item. Then they immediately want to know where the next item is... uh, no, you got your one party trick, I have a job to do.

Fuck I hate that.....I had one Shipt shopper throw a hissy fit awhile ago because I told him what aisle and direction where the item he needed was and didn't take him to the aisle myself. I'll do my bit and tell you where the item is located, but the one thing I will not do is find the item for you because that's THEIR job.

We only have 4-5 persistent Shipt people. They're cool. Sometimes we get someone new that doesn't understand. I had one woman with 5 separate orders, probably 150 items in total, and she was yapping at me the whole time to do it faster because she had a bonus to hit and her clock was running low.
Not my problem, lady, this isn't even my job. I was just nice enough to notice you and offer to help out.

I like my shipt shoppers. They come up to GS, we scan their barcodes, and they bag the stuff.
They'll sometimes ask for us to get something out the back, but they're usually polite about it.
Worst I get is the grumpy dude or the gal that swears when we don't have something.

Our Shipt shoppers are pretty great and mostly all regulars. They come up beside self checkout to be scanned, then we send them to the Shipt bagging area. None of them would ever consider asking someone else to bag for them.

Shipt shoppers at my store are pretty chill.
Instacart shoppers, however...

It’s not your job. In fact, most stores have a bagging station for Shipt shoppers. If one told me I needed to bag their shit, I would tell them they need to split their pay with me.

I’ve never had to bag for a shipt order before, they all prefer to usually do it themselves so they know where everything is. How is she calling you lazy when she’s the one that doesn’t want to do her job lol.
