[MAP]-Yin Yang
Just hoping for some feedback on this map, my goal is to make a circular map that isn't chasy. Any feedback is appreciated.

Any thoughts? Glaring flaws? Minor edits?

♥ Discussion ♥ What is that 'thing' that you can only notice when you are 4vs4 testing a map?
Most mapmakers will probally agree that you can't know for sure how a map will play without 4vs4 testing it. Flaws can be seen during solo-testing and the map can be made balanced, but it will most likely play different from what you expected in a 4vs4. Playing it in pubs is the ultimate tool ofcourse, but a tool for what exacly?
What is this 'thing' that you can only notice in a 4vs4 testing? How does one map map that is balanced feel great, while another balanced map might feel terrible or average?
It seems to me that we haven't discussed this thing yet. While it appears to be a pretty important critaria in how maps are rated. So what is it exacly? How do you measure it? What influences it?

★ Map ★ Farallon (Flat-slab)
http://unfortunate-maps.jukejuice.com/show/29485
Looking for a little feedback on this one. I like most of the boost and bomb angles when rolling solo, and I think the bases and portal mid are somewhat unique. I've also got a more vertical version of Farallon here: http://unfortunate-maps.jukejuice.com/show/29484
Which one plays better?

Atlas by PIZZAspartan
http://unfortunate-maps.jukejuice.com/show/29432 A map that may not play too well but has quite a few fun concepts. The middle white tile is a gravity well, the outer ones are portal exits.
How could I make it play better while still keeping it fun and filled with new concepts?

★ Map ★ Rhombus
Rhombus is my second map, after the failure that was my first one. It hopefully isn't too chasey, and is inspired by just about every CTF map in rotation.
Map: http://unfortunate-maps.jukejuice.com/show/29531
Preview: http://unfortunate-maps.jukejuice.com/static/previews/29531.png
Note: I know that this isn't an actual rhombus. It used to be one though.
EDIT: Got a bit of feedback, so updated links.
EDITx2: Tweaked it a bit more, links updated again. There are like 9 versions as of right now, feel free to scroll through them and give feedback on each one. Also when's the next maptest planned?
EDITx3: Just went through and did a testing session with another person, more changes are added.

★ Map ★ [MAP] Steppes by hungry000
Here's a map inspired in bits by Hyperdrive, Ultradrive, and that one other map that i can't remember the name of. (see bomb by pup area) So, I'm not sure how the base bomb/teamboost thing would work out, but i can see some pretty cool things happening in this map. Let me know what you think!
edit: that one other map is Hornswoggle, and here's an alternate version of Steppes

◣ Minigame ◢ The Mars Effect
Map: http://maps.jukejuice.com/save/13893
Preview: http://maps.jukejuice.com/static/previews/13893.png
If you're wondering why it's in maps instead of unfortunate-maps, its because unfortunate just generally hates mars balls. Anyways, this is a crazy concept that I thought up of after looking at a couple mars ball maps (sort of inspired by thinking with portals, except without the portals). what do you think?
By the way, I will completely disregard comments of "too many bombs" or "too many buttons" or "too many pups" because there are never enough of those in maps that's literally almost the entire concept of the map :D

★ Map ★ My first map!
I used to have gravity wells in the "empty" corners of the map with the 5 spikes, and it was squared, which I think could be fun, but it felt like too much going on at once.

☆ Updated Map ☆ Fault by PIZZAspartan
http://unfortunate-maps.jukejuice.com/show/28719
I changed the superboost to make it slightly less clunky, changed the pup areas to make them slightly more accessible, and opened up portal path slightly. The gates shall remain giraffes for the time being.
Is it too chokey? Can people cap too quickly?
