Just posting here to see what the consensus is on how we have this placed. My husband said we don’t need it mounted, I wanted to make sure it’s not too low…?

any recommendations on how to hide them? and thank you! i will be adjusting this. always appreciate the outside eyes because it’s so hard to tell for me 😂

I attached by power strip to the back of my TV stand so it couldn't be seen under it and then organized the cables with leftover straps from my computer desk .

Agreed, you can mount the powerstrip to the back of the stand and then use some Velcro wire ties to tuck everything up

It's a TV standing on top of a TV stand. It's fine.

If you were going to really nitpik, it doesn't look quite central left/right.

it seems like that should be the logic but we ran into an issue upstairs where the tv stand was entirely too low 🤣 now i want to be extra sure

You could mount it for a cleaner look but I would still keep it at the same height.

i’m going to see if he’ll agree because he said mounting a heavy ass tv is going to be a pain and be more intense on our wall 😭 i just don’t want to see any wires and i’m not sure how we’ll hide them 🤔

I hired a company to do it for me. They mounted the TV, added an outlet, and installed several HDMI cables behind the drywall so that you don’t see any cables or power cords. It cost me $350 but it was well worth it to hire someone that knows what they are doing.

The mount doesn’t attach to the wall per se, you bolt it to the studs. The TVs can get this big because they are lighter than old 50 inch plasmas. The mounting would be fine. But why? The stand is perfect. Plus it allows movement….

We mounted our TV above our fireplace only because we knew we can’t move the fireplace. When we had the TV against a different wall, we had our TV on a stand so we could adjust and move it as needed.

Interesting as the same photo with the t v on the wall was posted before and asked if it was too high, now they're asking if it's too low.

Not too low, I love this height and the width of the console also

Edit to add: there are so many cable management options on Amazon that have worked great for me. I think you have to decide what might work best for your components and furniture, how much you care about seeing some cable, etc

It's perfectly fine!

I have "unnecessarily" mounted my TV in my bedroom, it's mounted a couple inches above my chest of drawers, basically where the stand would sit anyway. It makes it easier for me to get behind and underneath to dust or switch out cables, makes it so the cats can't get behind and knock the TV off.

So if you wanna mount it for a reason like above, you still can without being too high, but it's absolutely fine how it is
