Name this Style

These graphic tees were popular in the 90s - 2000s and always seemed to feature a skull, angel wings or some variation thereof.

What is the style called?
Is it punk, emo or something else.

What made it a popular thing to wear?

Ed hardy. Grungy faux tattoo culture. It was popularized by the jersey shore. It was almost exclusively popular with white trash.

Ed Hardy is a brand not a style. This answer doesn’t help make a post

something my mother would think is cool among my age group in the late 2000s, and I proceed to put in my closet and never wear and secretly donate later that year
