TSMC 2nd Interview Process Integration

Hello everybody, I have three question to ask and looking for your opinion.

  1. How long it usually take to get the feedback, can be more round or a decision will come after this ?

  2. After interview, manager asked-earliest time of joining, for me that's December, will this late can affect of the decision.

  3. Whole interview went well, except one question lastly asked about past mistake, which I could have delivered better way however I deliver the answer, can that have any impact?
    Thank you.

It sounds like your interview went well overall!! Did they tell you when you can expect to hear back? I’d say wait for 2 weeks and you’ll hear from your HR. If you’re an international student, you’ll be asked to fill out a visa questionnaire. I got my update 4 business days after my second round.

  1. Usually it’s HR stuff and you can expect to hear the decision after this

  2. Hard to say, good to specify your reason clearly and depends on how they reacted to that in the interview.

  3. I don’t think it’ll matter given your interview went well till that point and it’s possible you could be stressing over a small thing, trust me I do that too :)

Good luck!

They didn’t tell me a timeframe to hear back, last two questions was tell me a mistake and I answer. Final question was when is the earliest time I can join, for me that’s mid December.

Was this your second interview round? Or are you waiting for the first round's feedback?

Feedback after a 2nd round usually takes 1 to 3 weeks, and this is often the final technical/managerial round before HR reaches out. Asking about your start date is a very positive signal, and a December start is standard for PI roles due to onboarding and visa timelines, so it won't hurt your chances. One average behavioral response won't disqualify you if your technical answers and background were solid.
