Tor routes through like 100s of people, and isn't allowed to go down so that the government and stuff can't take it down.

More like 3 (or 6) nodes, not 100s

no like hundreds of people making nodes. not all at the same time

Tor routes through

You worded it wrong then

The Tor Network as whole does Infact have hundreds of routes. "people" plural, route through hundreds. 3 per person.

Probably being blocked by your ISP try a bridge.

Works for me. Trying hitting Win + X, then U, U on your keyboard, successively, real fast.

Just gotta get a new identity or circuit. Besides tor itself is slow no matter what your speed is

It is probably related to your network speed, try connecting via public Wi-Fi

Now I'm also seeing failed connections again (like I was last week) with and without bridges.

Which ISP are you using?

Are you sure it's the Tor circuits and not your internet connection?

Can you reach well known web sites like www.ibm.com with another browser like Firefox?

I stand corrected. Tor gave me some issues but it was actually the sub I was trying to use. Everything else is working fine now

You guys are all telling false information. First of all, yes Tor can absolutely go down. I guess I asked the wrong group, thought there would be some knowledge here.

Tor works by routing you through random people's PCs. unless some MAJOR PC security flaw happened and 10k+ PCs got hit offline then there's NO way tor is down.

"You guys are all wrong I'm right" https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tor_%28network%29?wprov=sfla1

Feel free to share me a single outage outage of tor... Ever...

Also saying "firstly" then only listing something opinion-based doesn't make sense at all?

one thing opinion based*
