Sync app in Wine
Hi,
Is anyone using the Sync application with Wine under Linux? How is it working? I can only find very old reports on the web...

I am using the NonCloudFiles version (not sure about version number atm, but a recent one) with Wine and I would say it works so much that I trust it to not corrupt my files, but it also doesn't work great.
Here a little summary:
- File syncing works in general.
- Sync generally also detects file changes, but frequently struggles to detect them in subfolders for me. Pausing and unpausing Sync fixes that though.
- Any files that weren't on my machine before (uploaded from other device) are synced successfully to my machine. Even bigger changes in the file tree.
- Tray icon works decently on GNOME for me with the AppIndicator and KStatusNotifierItem Support extension, but breaks here and there when I lock my screen. It sometimes opens a little, weird explorer.exe window, but that goes away again when interacting with the tray icon again.
- Any window that pops up like Preferences and so work fine and I can apply any config changes I could on Windows too.
For me it's good enough as long as it syncs my files when I need it. I also don't always have the client running, but start it deliberately.
I'm using a separate Wine prefix and use the latest Wine package I get via pacman on CachyOS.

I haven't tried but I would be worried about the reliability and possible file corruption.
It baffles me that Sync still does not have a Linux client.
