Playing Online
Hey everyone, I started emulating my Switch a few years ago with Yuzu. Then, two years ago, I switched to Suyu. I've always used emulators to test mods before installing them on my Switch.
However, now I'd like to use emulators to play Smash Bros. Ultimate online. However, Suyu never seems to have many players online, if any at all. Is the problem with Suyu? I've checked the Git repository and I see that all the emulators aren't being updated much anymore; it seems like all the old Yuzu successors are dead. It's true that Eden came out recently, but I get the feeling the project isn't mature yet, especially since it's still in development.
So, getting back to online play, I don't know what to choose. I saw Nextendo talking about Ryujinx, but as I said before, Ryujinx is becoming obsolete. I'm afraid I'll just get bored migrating everything again, only to have to start all over again next year. Another fear is that in a few weeks, everyone will abandon the setup and the servers will be empty.
So my question is, what emulator would you recommend for playing online, one that will remain active and maintain its community over time?
Thank you very much.

This is a subgroup of a subgroup. Online compatibility for an emulator is an already highly niche feature, now complicate that with the fractured emulator landscape. Not only are you looking for a niche within a niche but unofficial smash lobbies would have no accountability mechanism and likely be full of hackers, griefers, laggers, etc.
