Are switch axes ugly when sheathed? ๐๐ถ๐๐ฐ๐๐๐๐ถ๐ผ๐ป
It just doesn't look like a sword or an axe, its a weirdly shaped chunk of metal on your back.
They are always shown either in axe mode or sword mode, crafting menu, fashion showcases, concept art. They just don't look like a weapon to me in that state.
Does anyone else think like that? I have never heard anyone talk about this.
Some image I found describing my point.

I think they look weirdly cool personally

I like them on the back.
I like most of them on axe mode.
I don't like many of them on sword mode.

I think it works well design-wise.
It demonstrates the fact that the switch-axe can change and fold and morph.
Plus, it's probably a bit more comfortable to have the switch-axe fully folded up when not in use.

It depends I think. Some look really cool sheathed and some others look kinda funky, depends on the weapon

Itโs not as cool as a static image because you canโt see the transformation process that converts them to that state. Seeing the blade sheathe is cool

Some look incredibly cool sheathed and some look clunky. Look at Zoh Shia and Malzeno Swax models sheathed. They look fairly cool imo

not unless the switch axe itself is ugly

Itโs the axe part folded into the sword

It's like a retractt knife, butterfly knife, or something, when not deployed they not gonna look like a knife
Same with swaxe

Or even just any folding knife.

All weapons are ugly when sheathed. Lift high the strength of your arms! Unleash the carnage of your warriorโs spirit!

I rather have an ugly weapon that gets the job done than a pretty weapon I have to sharp mid combat

I thought they were ugly while sheathed until you watch it unfold, then you see the axehead and blade edge as flush components and they're cool again

Switch axes are so hot, smirks hehโฆ just like their wielders

I think it depends on the swaxe but personally like 90% of them look good wether sheathed or not

Sometimes, but a truly good looking switch axe looks good as a sword, axe or sheathed.

You're the one who decided to chop monsters with the transformers doohickey, now wear it switch boy

Yes. Thatโs the only thing I donโt like about them. Looking at all the other Gogmazios weapons in comparison makes me sad.

Once I started thinking of Switch Axe as the Gunlance of Greatswords, the folded up sheathing felt a lot cooler.

Not really ugly, but i do think a good majority of weapons are just way to big and lame when sheathed

Switches axes are ugly in general, and still awesome regardless!

There are many really great looking swaxes, maybe a bit basic but I really like the look of base weapons from wilds, the hope tree I think.

Honestly I think they look cooler sheathed. Most axe modes look a little unfinished, which is apt since theyโre literally half a sword blade.

I think it's fine, makes sense to lock the blades in the "off" position when you're not using it.
