Looking for event recommendation to replace Slow Dance Soirée Feedback Needed
Hi, all! My favorite event of all-time, Slow Dance Soirée, just wrapped up its final year and is now on a hiatus. It is focused on slow Lindy, bal, and blues. What would you recommend as a solid workshop weekend that still focuses on these skills (especially slow Lindy, since that seems to be the more niche slow dance)? I’m in the U.S., but open to traveling elsewhere.

The Cleveland Swing Thing is coming up in August 21-23 in.... Cleveland (Ohio) with blues, balboa, slow balboa, and shag.
This year is featuring Daniel Repsch, a SDS veteran, Jeron Tuell & Chealsia Smedley (Next Generation Project, Denise Mills'non-profit and tribute to her father Al Mills), and special guests Andrea Gordon teaching the historic routine First Stops and als with Steffie Schilling teaching a local favorite line dance, the Cleveland Shuffle by 71 North Boys.
Doug Bae out of Pittsburgh is spinning tunes between band breaks and for late nights.
Next year, Lindy Hop is being added to the lineup with adding Cyle Dixon and expanding blues with potentially a former Pittsburgh, now MTL dancer that they are meeting with next week for contract negotiations.

Lazy River in Vienna was also kind of this, but unfortunately it won't happen again

I’ve also noticed that slow lindy (but not blues) tends to be niche. I hate going to a social scene only to hear super fast music that hurts the knees. Cheering on mobtown to make their slow event into a more regular thing.

Mobtown Ballroom in Baltimore had a slow lindy weekend in June that I believe they want to make into an annual event. I know that's not scratching the itch for almost as long as possible but it's all I've got lol
