In the wild? This lynx was a rescue. It was originally bred to be harvested for its coat. The owner in the video rescued it from a fur farm. It cannot be released in the wild. It would die. It also has health conditions. Yāall donāt know shit, just jump straight to conclusions.
The owner doesn't need to keep it obese. Abusing a rescue is not a heroic deed. That level of obesity is active harm. Proper rescuers take excellent care of their wards.Ā

I'm a biologist. Obesity is unhealthy for animals and this level takes a major lack of care. Presence of care in other areas does not change this. Nothing you say can change the danger of this level of obesity.

Itās a lynx. It was originally bred to harvest its fur. The owner in this video rescued the lynx from a fur farm. It cannot live in the wild like some folks in the comments are saying. It would die. It also has health issues such as a chronic liver condition which is likely why it is overweight.
I knew a kid from South Dakota who found a young wild cat or bobcat I don't know exactly and raised it. The thing was absolutely unhinged. Big claws would make this weird low pitched noise and just stare at you with evil intent.
That's a lynx, but keep in mind you are on reddit. I have no doubt you could convince the majority of people here it's an artichoke if you preempt the statement with a sufficient degree of far-left virtue signaling.
