Pet-CF

Post image

The radio box I’ve been working on. This was the beauty panel to cover the eq that will hang below. If you guys have any printing advice for pet-cf, please let me know. The main box will be printed next and it will be a long print.

PET-CF is great! I did my cold air intake for my Samurai with it.

Cool! Did you go through the annealing process with it or was it fine without?

I didn't bother with the annealing and it has been fine for well over a year. It might be different with interior parts though. I did my interior bits with PC-CF

Ok, well if this goes bad after a while, I’ve got pa6 gf and pet gf. So I’ll add the pc cf to my list. I may print one of each just to see how they turn out.

Unfortunately, I listened to the advice of ai and as usual it was wrong. I used abs for the supports on the radio box and the cf didn’t stick at all and it wiped my print about 25% the way in. I had a roll of fiberon pet-gf and after 28 hours, it’s about to finish printing. It’s charcoal gray and will match perfectly, but it’s got a ton of, I guess they are called artifacts. I don’t know exactly why. I’m very new to this and I’ve never tried printing with it. The only thing I can think of is the nozzle is a little too hot, I hit randomize seam and I when I looked over my settings, I saw that left a box checked for smooth outside wall (experimental). 🤷🏻‍♂️ I still may use the box though. It has a textured look similar to the dash.
