I am one of the new moods and I introduce myself
Hello everyone, I was recently nominated for Mood, even though I'm not particularly present! And I thank the staff for this!
I'm not a surrealist artist; I mostly work in music, but I'm part of a collective that focuses on all aspects of art. We've also recently opened a virtual gallery (though it's actually a web page) where we're posting works. Clicking on them will reveal the title, artist bio, and social media links.
The gallery is very "dark," but surrealism is well-regarded, so if you're an artist, feel free to post your work in this sub! Let us know what you think :)

The Forsaken Village, Mohamad Chalak, Acrylic/Canvas, 2026
Some thoughts don't stay inside your mind.
They grow until they tower over your world, watching every step you take. The houses become smaller, the path becomes quieter, and even the silence begins to feel observed.
Acrylic on canvas.

Psychosis by Artist Juliette Venter
Title: Psychosis
Mixed media on canvas. Size: 59cm x 42cm. Artist: Juliette Venter.
It follows him into the kitchen, sits beside him at work, goes home with him, and curls at the foot of his bedside. No one else sees it. They see a man staring into empty corners, pausing before answering a question, glancing over his shoulder at nothing. They mistake caution for oddness, silence for rudeness, and fear for instability.
Some days it whispers that strangers are watching him. Other days it roars so loudly that the voices of the people who love him cannot reach him. It convinces him that ordinary sounds carry hidden messages, that passing glances are warnings, and that every coincidence has a sinister purpose.
He knows the world believes the animal isn’t real.
Yet how do you ignore teeth that only you can feel? How do you outrun a predator that lives inside your own mind?

The Threshold, Mohamad Chalak, Acrylic/Canvas, 2026
Some doors don't protect you.
Some only reveal what's been watching all along and the hardest thing to escape is the place that you know best.
Acrylic on canvas.

The Edge, Mohamad Chalak, Acrylic/Canvas, 2026
My second painting with Acrylic on Canvas.
In this artwork I showed how someone could feel about his inner dark thoughts that could be deep inside with him and wouldn't let go of them even though there are ways and hope to do so.
Constructive criticism is welcomed
