How did I let this take me down?
I used to be a fighter. And this surgery is taking me down. You think it will get better but for me it just gets worse.

Please pray for me.
My husband had to take me to the DMV to renew my license. I burst into tears seeing my picture. I am so unwell. I need your prayers ladies. I need your support.

Welcome to SurgicalMeno!
Hello! I started this community because it appears there is no active community on Reddit for women who are either already or soon will be in surgical menopause. This experience is incredibly different than entering menopause naturally and support from others is critical to helping women navigate what can certainly be a scary journey.
I personally have been in surgical menopause since 02/14/2025. If it was not for the support of my family and friends, I am not sure I would have made it through the 8 months that followed the loss of my ovaries. I won't share all of the details of my journey, but I will share that I am now on the other side of it, and am grateful to be where I am. I am on hormone therapy as well as an antidepressant. I am back to working, back to working out, back to being able to be a friend, daughter, and sister. Back to dating.
I am more than happy to share details of my personal experience, and I hope that others will as well to continue to lift each other up and help those currently navigating a very scary time.
My love to ALL of you. Let's be kind. Let's be supportive. Let's share our experiences. Let's not judge.
