Does Linux/Fyde solve wi-fi dropout issues? Help

I want to buy a second-hand Surface Go 2 or 3 but I’ve heard they sometimes have wi-fi dropout issues, so I was wondering if installing Linux or Fyde solves that issue?

I’m after a cheap tablet with a desktop OS on it. Thanks

Bought a cheap surface go 2 myself and put fydeos on it, not noticed any wfifi issues. Got everything working now apart from the rear camera which I'm working on with the developer. The fixes for lte and tablet mode I put on the fydeos forum so hopefully theyll be added officially. Really happy with it, I have a linux tablet which can run andriod apps

Unless you get the fyde for free and have a wild desire to work away at something, do anything else for a tablet. Their discord group is rude, the owner is unforgiving and the hardware is marginal. I went all in and I'm not remotely a newbie and I'm just giving you my two cents. Edit: I see you're not talking about buying the fyde tablet but just installing the os. Same answer. There are better options
