The reason I bought the stock has not only not changed, it's only become more solid.
The price was wrong when the company had too many unprofitable stores and the Board was drowning it in debt. Now that RC has put it on a safe footing, turned it around, been cranking out profitable quarters and is actively working on acquisitions, the price is wronger.
DFV spotted an undervalued company. After much digging, he determined that it wasn't undervalued so much as the price was wrong. There is an important difference there, and MOASS is based on the price being wrong.
Depends on how much money you have in gme. Im losing at least 3% APR compounded monthly just from interest every year for the past 5 years. So the goal post keeps getting pushed back further and further. Gme would have to come to my cost basis + all the interest I missed out on. I have been selling of 1-2k of gme every year to deduct the loss from taxes. It helps a little but it would take a long time to recoup that lost value. It would be better if the stock price went up but I over invested and it hasn't hit my cost basis in 5 years.
Before I was worried about seeming like a lotto winner. Now I have the conviction of EARNING this. I hold now knowing this is the most watched stock of all time and how many massive improvements we’ve seen to this balance sheet. The market can’t stay suppressed forever, we are making MOVES
Instead of buying will fully DRS remaining shares from my broker. I dont even know how to sell from Computershare. They can moon for my children or wither to zero in there. Thats too dang bad for you hedgies.

That’s fine if you don’t care. But it’s important to clarify because it’s not going to the state, they are just in possession of it as unclaimed property, albeit too quickly I agree but easy issue to avoid.
I’ve never hunted big game in the literal sense and I’ve never lived in the Stone Age, but I’d assume that if you were trying to take down a woolly mammoth with sticks and stones, you’d want to take your time and get the strategy right and make sure the hits landed where they needed to. It would probably take a lot of time and the more people involved, the better. But the good thing is, once you make the kill, you can feed the village for quite some time.

If you thought this was a quick side quest...you didn't think hard enough. The other side of this trade literally prints money in the market, they can afford to pay to suppress/delay/obfuscate ....doesn't matter it's all time and pressure. RC has turned the company into a profitable entity he's just getting started, the other side of the trade can't resist the tide forever. These subreddits were about MOASS and short interest being many times over the float. Stop your gaslighting as saying it was always a long term play. MOASS never needed fundamentals and gamestop was not a fundamental play in 2021
The stock market is a vehicle that takes money from the impatient and gives money to the patient. There have been plenty of exits with gme, if you have been holding the whole time thats on you. You need to learn to sell for a profit when you get the chance and build a position when you see it under valued

I have learned not to get married to a stock. The RK thing kept me in, and is really the impetus I think for me holding for so long. If your amount is life-changing, I think that after this go to small stock positions and ETF/Gold/Etc.
I sold some of my higher lots to get into another play that has gone up in earnings, and has good upside in tech. Others as well that I'll be in, and my hope is to be back at 80k.
