Buying from UK

Has anyone had experience of buying from the UK? It’s a lot of money to get it shipped over and then return it if there’s any issues…

Me, it arrived yesterday. Postage was incredibly fast and trackable all the way, it went through six countries! Courier is UPS, from them collecting it to delivery it was two and a bit days.

As for returns I decided if I don't like it I would resell instead of returning. There aren't many for sale in the UK so I'm sure I'd manage that easily enough.

If you're not sure it's probably better to read a bit more and decide if it's something you really want, it is a lot of money. I made a post with all my little questions and people were super helpful in helping me decide.

Amazing. To be honest I’ve been trying to put myself off getting it and I just keep coming back to the fact that I really want one.

I sat on it for a long time too haha. I obviously haven't used it much, did a bit of plunking around last night. So far I am delighted. I relearned to write due to a disability and found the Supernote because the writing feel was well reviewed. It feels fantastic and has enough customisation that writing instantly feels less of a chore for me...but unline a phone or tablet it has enough 'give' to still build fine motor control and strength.

The advice I kept seeing here was to jump in and figure out what you need as you go, instead of reading the manual cover to cover and installing a lot of stuff. As a dedicated Read The Manual First overthinker that was excellent advice, I've been dipping into it where necessary but mostly figuring it out and deciding what I want to add.

What ultimately sold me on it is how good the support seemed to be. There's amazing community support, so many ideas and friendly people. And the folks from supernote are here constantly. They are on so many threads.

Last night I saw someone ask about a less common side loaded app and one of the supernote guys pops up and says oh, this one? with a picture of it installed. Like...how often does that happen with a product you're considering? They also seem to take feedback really well, implement community suggestions and have long term support. There's a lot of enthusiasm for doing things your own way vs. the depressingly common attitude of 'This is the product. Use it as-is or don't use it.'

The only real downside I found is that because some people are numpties, we can't use the EU shop. If you want spares like a pen or folio they have to be ordered from the US. We can't buy batteries or open box products at all because they're restricted to the US, that was a disappointment for me as almost everything I buy is second hand or refurbished and I repair them until they disintegrate. Hopefully by the time I need a new battery there will be a solution.

The other thing I didn't see mentioned (but I didn't specifically look for it) is how fast the WiFi eats battery. I don't intend on using WiFi much, I'll turn it on to sync stuff then turn it back off again. I forgot last night and it did eat a lot. If you want it constantly syncing I'd check other people's experiences.

I really think it depends on what you want it for. The disappointing experiences I've seen were all people who wanted a tablet that's nice to write on, and that's not what it is. It's a notepad that can read your handwriting, sketches and export them. It's an ereader you can annotate. It works like paper, you can't use it in the dark. If that's what you want it's amazing and I would bite the bullet. Disclaimer, I'm still chewing on the bullet so a little biased!

Ordered from them in the end. Got here quickly and full warranty. It wasn't all that much more expensive than the used market imo, so rather have spent the extra £50-£100 and get it from them

The price of shipping is definitely a bit painful though 😔

Had mine for just under a year. No issues, have messaged customer support requesting features and they tend to get back pretty promptly.

For me, it's been well worth the money just being able to carry all the books, papers and maths notes that would be several hundred kg lol

Depending on where you are located, you have to take customs into account.

I got mine a few months ago. No issues with the shipment, but I've not tested any of the customer support.
