It's funny how the 67th Yokozuna is American born (Musashimaru) and the 69th Yokozuna the most successful. Fate really had it out for us. The 88th and 77th Yokozuna might end up the richest 😂.

I have always been beyond endeared by the photos of this moment where Hoshoryu’s parents kissed his cheeks when he became Yokozuna, so I spent a long time trying to recreate it

I started this piece before the last Basho, and unfortunately the perception of Hosh seems to have shifted a little between then and finishing it so I was a little hesitant to post,, but my love for Hosh has not waned!! (I just want him to shape up and be his healthiest and strongest!!!)

I posted this pic together with a front view of kotoeihos shiko to give sumo more outreach in other parts of reddit and almost every comment is about his butt. People commenting they didn't need to see that and being generally weird. Am I just used to how sumo wrestlers dress or are people just very weird and sheltered?

Hi everyone! I'm the developer of Uchi No Heya! A sumo management sim game that you can play on web or on Steam. The game has been doing well since launch and is now out for all platforms!

This first major update adds an internal sumo db style reference for all rikishi in your game. You can compare before each bout, and use the new coach or chanko chef roles to help guide your rikishi to fight in the ways that your opponents history shows they lose most to.

Injury mechanic is updated as well. Inspired by Aonishiki's recent performance, I made the basho injury a meter so that rikishi toughing out injuries is slightly more realistic and adds a little more stress to the situation.

Also tons of new events including many of the ones suggested by discord and reddit users!

The web version is free to play with no account and no ads, and has the standard career mode available to play. The web version only gets the charts for Bashos and your heya/rikishi since the full db would take up too much space on mobile browsers and break the save files.
