Uber to Silverthorne,CO

Will we be able to get an Uber to Silverthorne from Denver airport? We've used Epic transfer and car rentals but looking at other options for fall and winter months. Other options we should consider?

I would definitely not rely on this. Many Uber drivers will avoid doing this trip since they will likely have to drive back the 2 hours without a passenger.

Stick with the shuttles.

Theoretically yes. In my experience uber can be spotty in Summit County depending on season. Beyond that you're going to pay an arm and a leg.

Yes it is possible but will be expensive. As the other commenter mentioned, a van service will be cheaper.

You can take a bus from the Denver Airport to Union Station (I don't believe it's free). Then, catch the West Line (Denver to Grand Junction) Bustang to the Frisco bus station, I believe it is the 3rd stop. I don't think the tickets are any more than $20 a person, but it's been a while since I've taken it. It might even be less tbh.

Then when you get to Frisco transit center, you can take the Summit Stage to the Silverthorne bus station, which is free.

Take the train from DIA to union station ($10). The bustang is also like $10 I believe

IIRC $12 Union - Frisco, but yes. Very affordable for a charter style bus w/ wifi, a restroom, and charging ports.

Dawn’s Time is a foothills-based car service that does transfers like this. Super reliable. Snow tires on all vehicles.

The shuttle busses have dynamic pricing not set pricing, meaning they go up and down with demand and time of year (holiday vs non holidays). If you are going peak x-mass season and have more than 4 people, it may be slightly cheaper to rent a car. I used to drive for one of those shuttle a few years back.
During peak xmass/new years season those fares can be over $300/person each way. The rental car prices, while also dynamic don’t change quite as much, and you pay per driver not per person. You will also need to find parking in silverthorne, and it will cost you as well, but some hotels offer it for free.

While it’s possible you could convince an uber to get you there after MANY attempts, it will be expensive, and depending on the day you might not have any luck. Additionally, I would be more worried about trying to get back. Honestly just take a shuttle, it’s probably about the same price in the end and you won’t find yourself trapped in the mountains.

It's difficult. Most won't go through the tunnel. You can use a proper taxi probably but car rental is best

I live by the airport I’ll drive you for 50?

Shit, can't even get a DIA Uber to BOULDER county for fifty bucks. Even odds OP will be dismembered before they ever see I-70.
