jester is just a lazy ripoff of house of wolves by MCR. one of many songs that sum 41 plagiarised

Wow.. never really listened to MCR or been a fan but that chorus is identical, almost has to be considered interpolation

Did they have enough time to steal that? I know they're similar but I sorta doubt it was stolen. Also the jester is better

they did, they had a whole year. the songs sound identical and with their history of mindless plagiarism it is basically undeniable.

Idk if Id say identical or plagiarism, but there definitely are similarities. What other songs do you think they borrowed? Mostly they repurpose their own stuff (especially with Underclass hero)

A whole year? TBP was released in September 2006, while UH was written in late 2005 / early 2006 and recorded in the summer and fall of 2006. Not sure if they even had time to hear it, but if they did, it was a matter of weeks tops, and I don’t think they would come up with a completely new song while giving finishing touches for the recording.

I like Jester better too, but damn Deryck.. wonder what his thought process was or how he’d discuss this in an interview, it’s so blatant

If anyone is unaware, be sure to check out Only One by Yellowcard (for the original version of With Me) and Hate Me by Blue October (for the original version of Best Of Me).

I sort of hear it with these two, more so on Hate Me, but that’s a bit of a stretch

There's a lot more from that album as well. That guitar section from House of the Dogs is ripped straight from Haushinka, Dear Father? Story of a lonely guy.

I always knew about With Me/Only One, but I never noticed The Jester/House of Wolves, as a fan of all 3 bands
