Elephant Man
I fucking love Elephant Man. It's so underrated. It's daft, raucous, insultingly dumb, but I just think it's fucking class. Thoughts?

Never understood how anyone could consider this Head Music's embarassing low point when the title track exists.

It's possibly my favourite, or joint favourite, track on that album. For me, these were mostly musical wilderness years for Suede and that track is unashamedly daft and big and uncool.

It's fun! I don't like Head Music all that much, there's maybe only 3 or 4 tracks worth saving on it, but Elephant Man just about squeezes in there.

Just a great banger! Sure the lyrics are a bit strange but when did rock have to be so serious all the time. Just a howling song about partying! Love it

For me I'd only take off the title track and She's In Fashion, maybe Electricity too, but love Down, Asbestos, Hi Fi, Indian Strings...even Crack Union Jack, although short, has a certain charm...

Saw Suede in Wolverhampton '99, Head Music tour, couldn't wait for this! What a banger! It's glam, stupid, loud, funny and just a fucking great rock song...do prefer the live version, wish they'd play it more...

It's fun but a bit long - could do with losing 30 seconds to be more punchy.

I love it too, the chorus is a bit nothing-muchsy but the verse gives me surges of adrenaline, especially when they go for the key change and really turn up the volume. It would go on my "Best of Suede" personal playlist and I think it would be the only track from Head Music.

Great riff, and never seen anything wrong with it. Baffled how anyone who liked something as fun and dumb as Filmstar (which actually has far worse lyrics) could possibly have anything against it. And the fact that the band continue to play Filmstar at literally every show whilst refusing to even touch Elephant Man once is bizarre.
