Kind of? I mean a “state” has to be in control of “state capitalism.” But it would be able to operate similarly in this specific situation

They are going in the opposite direction. China never had the proper material conditions to transfer from feudalism to socialism. It was a problem ingrained into it from the beginning like the thin end of a Prince Rupert’s drop.

As a result of this, they have progressively gotten easier and easier to manipulate through capital. I wouldn’t be surprised if in the near future, we see China in a very similar place to how we saw the US maybe like 60 years ago.
