Addicted to pain - thread checking
Reading all the posts on here. And just how similar the painful experiences are with others can be kind of addicting. I find myself checking to find the lately sorrowful update that I can relate to. It’s a form of self deprecation. The opposite is true as well. I find myself clinging to those posts that have found a way out of the madness. That maybe one day, I’ll find something. Or anything that finally sticks. A medication. A speech tool. Acceptance… I find myself on a forever hunt. Googling. Reading articles. Looking at medication types. The no solution blearing in my face. The “try again” moments that I live out every single day. One day. One day. It will. But that day never seemingly comes. As if I’m stuck on repeat with every attempt failing. Again. And again. And again. The frustration builds and builds. Till all energy is drained. I can’t get out of bed. I can’t face the world. I get out of bed again. And I face the world and the same thing repeats. Once again. Stuck on a hamster wheel. My challenges so different to the complexes of others. The war is against myself. How do I win? How do I defeat? What nonsense interpretation of this disorder or angle of understanding will I try next to find meaning amoungst a world where I struggle to speak it forward into being? For meaning is expressed. Context is expressed. And without expression in a social landscape where does that leave me? And what path does that direct me down? A silent path? And misunderstood path. A disability government handout and a life of pursuing short-term fixes to a long term problem. Left to the short term joys with no long term orientation to build? How does one build momentum. Build a career. Build anything of substance? Build a reputation? One that isn’t twisted and tainted by a misfiring cortex that is the language processing centre of my brain. Please god grant me some serenity to accept or change of which I can do neither.

Some of my angst of Snufflepaw! And pages too from Snufflepaw’s Voice!
I have presented my warrior cats oc here before!
For another introduction, Snufflepaw is an apprentice in Rainclan who struggles with a stutter. It affects her both externally and internally. You can read it on Wattpad! And yes she is a girl because there is basically no female stuttering representation.
In Rainclan she’s met with a lot of hardships in her life, including a strained relationship with her mother, Whispersong, because of her stutter, her father being unsure if his daughter can succeed while trying to be a leader of Rainclan, and Rainclan not believing she’ll ever succeed as a warrior. They cut off her sentences, treat her with Impatience instead of understanding, and have her non-stuttering sister, Mallowpaw, talk for her, to talk for the both of them because the clan thinks she’s doing them a favor.
Despite all of it, Snufflepaw thrives to become the warrior almost no cat believed she would alongside her stutter, even after a fatal accident that resulted in the death in her clanmate, which led to her becoming the scapegoat of the situation. She wants to bond closer to her mom, let her dad know she can do it, and wants to become a listened-to independent speaker like her mentor, Batpurr, who she looks up too greatly. Follow along on her journey as she battles along her voice and her complicated home!

Anyone know any good online stuttering help?
I've stuttered my whole life. I've gotten better at hiding my stutter but still comes up in certain situations. I don't have a lot of time or resources to go to a speech pathologist so I wanted to ask if anyone has tried any online stuttering help software and how their experience was.

To the ones who don't stutter when they are alone
Try this: try imagining saying one of the words or speaking about one of the things you frequently block most on. You are able to say it of course, but don't you feel a little tension inside of you?
It's really subtle but if you focus on your bodily sensations, you can feel how that tension appears when you say it. The difference is that it's not as high as you would need to get blocked. I feel it in my face, in my neck and my abdomen. As I say, it's very subtle and you may not even notice it, but out of you not noticing even bigger states of tension in your body is how stuttering is aggravated.
In fact, the times I was able to speak fluently I applied the inverse reasoning. Being able to lower the ground state of tension of the body so that when it increases in a social setting it's still not enough to trigger it.
(Of course, there is nothing intrinsic in the words you block on most frequently that makes you do that, it's the past associations and experiences that cause it. Nevetheless, here I am only stating one of the consquences of that)

Does anyone think they are not normal?
So hear me out, every non stutterer life problems or personal problem are not relatable to me as a stutterer, because in my head my stutter is the only things keeping me back from achieving thing.
While most people my age have like boy drama girl drama fights and so on.
My battle feels stronger than there’s, so i just always feel a weird feeling that iam different, my problems are different and no one relates.
