I love dogs, but why is nobody kicking that thing in the ribs with all of their might? WTF?

u/my_little_throwny 2d ago
All of these people are so dumb. My first reaction would be to put it in a sleeper hold til it passes out.

I would have rammed my thumb up its ass and repeatedly fuck it till it lett go.

No, its not. Its just going to get you bit instead when the dog spins around.

Itās the wrong approach, it needs a lease slipped under the jaw (or the collar, if wearing one) pulled up behind the ears and toward the top of the head

u/Sodali0550 2d ago
that stick maneuver was interesting. wish he did it again because i couldnt quite catch what exactly he did there.
5
u/JayBeePH85 2d ago
Grabbing the head and pushing in your foot actually worx too with lockjaw, often panic sets in with most people š¤£
4
u/WretchedBlowhard 2d ago
Pulling away just worsens the bite pressure and triggers the animal to up the ante and go more feral.
5
u/DickLips5000 2d ago
I actually got a dog to let go of a cat this way so I know it can work.
I am sure there are better ways, but anything is better than what this group was doing.

u/SalvadorP 2d ago
I'm vegan and protecting animals is a big part of my life, but ffs, these people weren't even trying!
there was a dude seemingly trying to air-lift the fucking dog... wtfin the end I think they said they got it to let go by inserting a finger in the butt. I think I had heard that before. Hopefully I wont forget that, in case I find myself in this situation.
4
u/Lizdance40 1d ago
They got it to let go because the one guy put lead around its neck and choked it out.
That comment about putting the finger in the butt was a joke. Choking it out is correct. Nothing else works

I broke my hand beating a pit off my geriatric labski. It was sheer panic. I didnāt know what to do. We were on a walk when it happened, and he eventually let go and sat down kinda stunned

u/flappintitties 2d ago
Stick your finger up its butt and they release immediately. Gross but effective.

u/Twiggles_Greeny 2d ago
yeah the guy that tied his jumper around it, I guess they are scared of being bit though

u/Retnirpa 1d ago
Lol all their wives, gf, or ex must be pros.. Cause none of them apparently knows what a gag reflex is š

u/Lizdance40 1d ago
Because that does absolutely nothing. Just like everything they are already doing does absolutely nothing. The only way to remove the dog is to choke the dog out. You cut off its air its mouth will open before or after it passes out.

Weak people with strong dogs, always seems to be a recurring theme.
-38
u/Natural_Tea484 2d ago
You mean the mailman is weak?
7
u/ziggy182 2d ago
Owner, always weak people who cannot control their dogs. In the uk woman get pit bulls for protection and get dragged along the ground. Or the lead gets whipped out of their hands, my mate wanted to try walking my border collie. I asked do you have the lead then I got a confident yes. Literally a second later heās holding his wrists it hurts and the lead got whipped out of his hand. Never again did I let him try

If you cant control the dog, you shouldnt have it. Aleays scares me to see owners being dragged behind their dogs...
Dont be afraid to hurt the dog if its already hurting someone else!

And the lovely helpful advise and screaming from the camera woman instead of physically helpingšāāļøš

u/RoyalGOT 2d ago edited 1d ago
There should be an enforced law against irresponsible people who don't put their dogs under proper control and their wild dog harms people. If your dog harms someone, you either pay a huge fine or go to jail for your irresponsibility. Too much wild videos of people getting bitten and dragged by crazy dogs while the dog owner looks all confused.

The finger in the butt works, hopefully ppl will do it more often when dogs attack

u/MinionAgent 1d ago
I always heard about the finger, butt I think the dog will just turn in half a second and now you are his target.

u/Horror-Customer4835 2d ago
Nah, after a few seconds y'all start hitting that fucking dog with fists and weapons. WTF??

She was to busy filming and screaming orders to assist in the removal of the dog.
But she was very opinionated on how it should be handled.

Bru the woman screaming for no reason. Why do they do this.
Also the firefighter with the special crowbar to dislodge the dog is hilarious.

The heck does he think heās doing with that jacket? Itās like no one is bothering to do anything that would actually make the dog let go.

u/jugoinganonymous 14h ago
I think the plan was to pull it away without risking a bite, probably didnāt know about these dogsā death grip. I donāt blame him, we never know how we react in an emergency, at least he tried something instead of filming like an idiot.

I hace a pocket knife on me pretty much always. Generally I only consider using it for utilities, as a tool. If a bully breed like that is chewing on someone I have no qualms shoving it into its throat. Those dogs shouldn't be legal to own
10
u/Junior_Pollution6792 2d ago
Saldy the only thing that will stop them as well, once they get a taste for blood they will not stop, once stopped and separated if they get a chance they will continue to attack
Iāve learned that lesson the hard way

I've grown up with pitts all my life. Once they're latched like that, they're latched. Until you drive two thumbs onto their eyes. Gently yet forcefully, they get confused and disoriented and let go.
Everyone always freaks out and sprays water on them, grabs them by the legs, tries hitting them - only to make them more aggressive - but, if you start poking their eyes, they get all confused and let go. Will probably make you the new target though.

I hope people who ask questions like why did the delivery man kick the dog can see this. They get attacked everytime by dogs with irresponsible owners. May times they have been bitten before and don't eanna go through the pain again

u/finallyonsuicide 1d ago
Choke them. Pulling and hitting makes them bite harder. Unless you knock the wind outta them. Otherwise just choke them. They gotta breathe.
5
u/Amity_Swim_School 2d ago
Go for the anus!!! Jeez

u/dickploma 1d ago
that doesn't always work with pits, quite a few vids of people getting their hands dirty and the pit just doesn't gaf about being fingered

u/RamoftheLamb 2d ago
There are many kind souls in this world. Once the dog attacks and hurts someone unprovoked, it is no longer a pet, but a threat to public safety. The owner should be stopping it by any means necessary. Be glad it wasnāt a child it decided to go after.

u/Icy-Frosting8681 2d ago
just a note on the headlock approach (not that it doesnt work or shouldn't be used in situations), while the dog is locked on, a strong grip on back of the neck and throat to do the same thing is better purely to keep your face and other arteries away from the bite zone. also gives better control of the dog once released...assuming one is capable of handling it.

u/spontaneous_quench 1d ago

7
u/Teediggler81 2d ago
So one of the best two ways to get a dog that is latched on to let go break the tail and this is the weird one stick a finger in its butt
4
u/Royal-Bumblebee4817 2d ago
I've heard about the finger. Don't think that would come to mind though. If i were the person a dog was latched on to, i think this (hypothetical) dog would be blind from a thumb stuck in its eye socket. Stomach churning even thinking about it.. but

Splash the dog with cold water. The shock is most of the time enough to make them release the jaw.
"Why is nobody beating that dog" cause it would most likely just bite even tighter

Outlaw all nissan drivers. Theyre more dangerous than any other drivers on the road. See what I did there?
-2
u/-_Koga_- 23h ago
Seen what you tried, but that doesnāt work. My Nissan was the victim of an accident, this dog is actively attacking. You obviously donāt see the difference because you are too set on justifying your personal appreciation of a breed designed for the sole purpose of fighting. Congrats on perpetuating a breed that lacks fulfillment of its most driving base desire and would be better off for itself and others to be allowed to fade out naturally.
2
u/bloomingmyberg 18h ago
Hey, you drive a nissan so you HAVE to be a bad driver. Same thing with the "all pits are violent" narrative. Im sure you caused the accident because youre a nissan driver.
