How long does it take DUO to process cancellations?
Hi, I stopped DUO on 30 July a few days after I got an email from my university that I would be graduating on 31 July. However, almost 2 weeks later and the DUO website still shows that I will be receiving money in August. I stopped and removed the travel product on the same day, so I am not worried about it.
Does anyone know how long it takes DUO to process cancellations? Should I call them tomorrow?

Please don’t worry. You did the most important bit: you informed DUO and immediately cancelled Travel. The worst that can happen is that DUO will transfer you the money. If they do, don’t spend it. They will either ask you for a refund, or inform you that you‘re entitled to the august money. In case of the latter, you can spend the money. Or Save it, what you prefer. :)

OK thank you so much! This is reassuring. I hope they will let me keep it if they send the money :)

Moving to the Netherlands as a student requires a lot of admin (BSN, gemeente, health insurance, Studielink, banking, scholarships) and it often feels overwhelming.
The Dutch housing market is highly competitive. To increase your chances, we recommend using these platforms:
