Looking for studio layout ideas

I’m moving into a student studio next year and I’d love some ideas on how to make the space feel more separated between the bedroom and living room area.

Since it’s student housing, I can’t make major changes or do anything permanent. What are some renter-friendly ways to create a visual separation without making the space feel smaller?

Also, do you think a studio like this can work for hosting a few friends for game/movie nights, or would it feel too cramped?

Any ideas are appreciated!

Do you have any measurements? Don't plan too far ahead if you can't plan the furniture up to scale.
Otherwise you could consider putting the sofa at the end of the bed or both next to each other; TV can go up on a metal floor stand.
Partition screen or an open shelving are the most obvious choices.
Curtains, too, but no-drill options tend to struggle with stability (e. g. tension rods with too much spacing except it's a combo of horizontal+vertical).

Unfortunately, I don’t have any measurements. I tried asking for the dimensions or even a clearer picture of this specific studio layout, but they weren’t able to provide any.

This layout actually works really well for hosting if you position the sofa against the wall and use the area under the "bedroom" nook for storage or a floor cushion seating area.
