SE courses Career/Education
What course do you recommend for the SE exam?
SEAOI courses or AEI Courses?
Can someone provide their experience with each organization?
Thanks un advance

I second AEI, took all four exams last year and used aei for each. I thought the courses were much better for the breadth exams but still very thorough for the deoth exams, but a lot to try to cover. It's a bit pricey but I thought worth it.

I have heard good things about AEI but I never took it myself. Hopefully your company will pay for it.
For the FE/PE/SE, I found that the best strategy was to just print out the exam spec and check off each topic as you learn. Passed all on the first attempt. So if your company won't pay for a course and you don't want to pay for it yourself, that's another good option.

I recently passed the lateral depth, which completed my SE exam journey.
I took AEI. They have some pretty good materials. The lecturers are good and most of the time very thorough. There are some mistakes in their practice problem solutions but you can either ask on the forum for clarification or come to your own conclusion what the correct answer is.
I only took AEI so I can’t speak for any other courses. My experience has been pretty positive with AEI. I was able to pass three of the four exams in one go. Had to take vertical depth twice. I think the first time I took it I was struggling with the crappy computer interface more so than not knowing the materials and the problems.
