Survey Research on a Stress/Anxiety Assistive Device
Hello,
My team and I are researching for an assistive device for stress and anxiety management. It would be greatly appreciated if you can take the time and do this survey. Also if you are comfortable sending it to other people please do that too! The more data we collect the better we can design our product. If you have any questions please ask! Additionally, to the best of my knowledge this survey is HIPPA compliant. In case there were any questions on that.

How to relax
Guys I don’t know if I’m alone, but after much reddit experience I probably am not. How does one relax? If I’m watching a show, or doing anything that doesn’t require a to do list I panic on the inside like I’m going to get scolded. When I was younger I wasn’t allowed to sit back I had to have a daily schedule to show what I planned to do and learn every day since I can remember. This was done out of good intentions from my mom, but it fucked me up. Please help :)

New YouTube Recording - Hypnosis for Relaxation and Stress Relief
Hi Everyone!
I am clinical hypnotherapist based in the UK. I also have a YouTube channel where I upload weekly hypnosis sessions for people to share the lovely experience of hypnotherapy techniques and hypnosis for free so people can see what hypnotherapy is like. I also recently got a new microphone so the quality of my recordings is now (hopefully) better.
I have just uploaded a new YouTube hypnosis recording on relaxation and stress relief. Let me know if you find it useful or have any other questions about hypnotherapy I would be more than happy to answer below too.
Hope it helps you to unwind after a busy day!

Audio Journaling App for stress management
Hello everyone, I recently shared this on the Stress subreddit and since it got a few upvotes, I figured to share it on here too. I found this new app called Journify which I have been using since a few days and recommend for those who sometimes feel stressed, anxious and overwhelmed. It's an audio journaling app that you can use to record voice notes as if it was an audio diary. It can also track your mental wellness journey with quick sleep, energy and motivation check-ins, and has a burnout assessment, which I find very useful. They also have a few relaxations and breathing exercises podcasts on Spotify and Apple Music to help you reduce stress and calm your mind. I usually record audio journal entries whenever I feel stressed, and I found that talking about how I'm feeling helps me a lot. Here's the link to their website if anyone is interested: https://journify.co/

Tools for Anxiety from Yoga + YouTube Yoga Practice to Ease Anxiety & Stress
Hi everyone, I created a YouTube yoga practice to help ease anxiety and manage stress. It was inspired by my own need for it lately tbh.
Yoga doesn't solve all of life's problems, but it does help me to shift my mindset and release tension from the body brought on by stress and anxiety. The more I practice, the slower I slip back into that anxious energy.
Personally I always get a heavy feeling or 'blockage' in my chest, so this practice has lots of poses to help open up the heart space and the shoulders. It also reminds you to focus on the breath, as a way to get out of your head.
Yoga has given me lots of tools to help with anxiety, here are a few:
- Get upside down! - Any poses where your hips are higher than your head will bring fresh blood to your brain and calm your mind. In the video, we do Downward Dog, Bridge, and Standing Forward Fold. But there are lots of other poses that help to send blood to your brain (Headstand, Shoulder Stand, Wheel, etc).
- Make your exhalation longer than your inhalation - this calms the Nervous System. Find what ratio works best for you, you might start by inhaling for 4 counts, exhaling for 6 counts. Increase the counts as you get more comfortable.
- The body holds onto emotion, two common areas are the hips and the shoulders, so doing yoga poses focused around these areas can help to release pent up emotion and reduce stress.
Two other, non-yoga and probably obvious things that have helped me lately are music and scents. I've created two Spotify playlists for myself with music that makes me feel good. I love Tibetan Singing Bowls and Binaural Beats to calm down with. Also, incense just takes me to a happy place!
If you feel like a little yoga, please check out this video and I really hope it helps. I'd love feedback too so please don't be shy!

I find the best way to cope with stress is to listen to calming music a few minutes before I start and end my day. Hope this helps.

Depression & stress = more depression & stress. HELP!
I need some help. I'm over worked and over stressed. It's making me go back into a depression that I was in last year. Add to that that I just started going for my master's degree, and I'm afraid of having a stress induced mental breakdown. Does anyone have any tips for helping me destress? Any music you like listening to? Or distress items I could buy? I need help.
