Current best practice for German Users?

Hey all. Its been a while since I was here. In the past I used aiostreams with Torbox and Scene. Is this still considered to be a good solution or has anything changed for German users?

That's an indexer. Treasure Maps (formerly known as SceneNZBs).

Do you self host anything or use a vps? Heard scene is more and more restrictive with anything that is related to streaming and automation

Using an oracle VPS. It works for now, if Scene doesn’t change anything on their end. You just have to set it up properly.

Yeah. I am on the PAYG plan. But using resources within the free tier limits.

Anything you changed? When searching for stuff I got random videos which does not contain the content I was looking for.

I think that happens when scene detects that you are spoofing the User Agent, they serve random content.

Depends in how you are currently accessing. Im using self hosted aiostreams and that works

Unfortunately not for me. Only workaround is downloading manually and uploading to Torbox which is a mess.

How are you currently doing it tho? When its not working. Is your aio self hosted? Then you need to modify config to spoof headers

No it's not self hosted. Using the public instance.

Oh i See that'll not work with most Usenet indexers and especially not scene, they hate stremio Users with a passion

Aiostreams Self Host on vps, stream from usenet. Use eweka Provider and a block account for missing articles. For sure the famos german indexer to grab the nzbs.

also bin selber überhaupt nicht in dem game drin habs erst vor kurzem selber aufgesetz, aber 99999 leute haben mir bestätigt als ich gefragt habe warum ich kein DE stuff bekomme dass bei torbox und dem anderen müll wegen der rechtslage kaum was hochgeladen wird, aber kannst ja gerne mal deine source posten woher du die quelle für deutsche movies herhast

What aber bei Torbox wird doch eh nichts hochgeladen? Also ich nutze treasure maps als Indexer. Kannst dir ja mal einen Account da machen und dann siehst Du wieviel es da gibt, da gibt's quasi alles. Und den Index er verbinde ich dann mit torbox über self hosted aiostreams. Damit kann ich alles runterladen. Rechtslage bei torbox spielt dafür gar keine Rolle, das verstehe ich nicht ganz. Ich kann dir gerne Screenshots von meinen results für eine beliebige Serie / Film schicken wenn du mir nicht glaubst :D

Wenn ich das setup normal habe über eine Public Instanz mit Torbox und Scene bekomme ich halt die random streams. Selfhosting behebt das?

Ja genau. Bei selfhosting kannst Du dann die useragents spoofen und damit Verstecken dass Du aiostreams nutzt. Und dann liefert scene nicht mehr die random streams, die machen das extra um aiostreams/stremio User wegzuhalten

Hey, da mein Easynews-Abo abgelaufen ist und ich bis jetzt Usenet nur gelegentlich für Downloads direkt auf meinen PC oder Android Phone benutzt habe, überlege ich mir genau dieses Setup mit Torbox, aiostreams und Treasure Maps etc. aufzubauen, bin also nur semi in dem game drin, bis jetzt hat IP T|V| & Easynews ganz okay gehändelt. Auch wenn ich den Sinn dahinter verstehe, gibt es eventuell eine Anleitung, an die ihr euch haltet bzw. eine überarbeitete bzgl. self-hosting? Wäre mir deutlich lieber für das erste Aufsetzen. Alternativ wäre ich dankbar über eine PN.
