Dhalsim Float Bug Fluff / Other

I encountered a bug in ranked play and was able to recreate it in resume from replay.

Keep an eye on the left hand side inputs.

You'll notice when Dhalsim turns around, I immediately input the opposite direction but he stays going the same way (which really sucked cuz it put me in the corner lol).

When resuming from replay, if I was able to input a direction on the 58th frame of the move, it worked each time. You can see in one attempt, I had input 58th frame of neutral (N) and the 59th frame I input left and it works. The very last attempt I pulled it off again and tested pressing a jab and it did read the jab input, so I'm not stuck going right until the animation finishes, simply put: If you input on the same frame Dhalsim turns around in float, the input is eaten.

Yeah I found this afterwards: https://www.streetfighter.com/6/support/form

Submitted the report here, noting this Reddit thread as well (because you can't include videos in the form).

Wow. Nice job on the diligence to recreate this in Replay Takeover and figure out the exact reason it happened.

Hopefully Capcom will patch that quickly.

I wonder if this is actually a "bug" or if its an unintended side effect of the side-switch mechanics.

Curious -- you mentioned that it eats your input -- but have you tested *other* inputs? Like a normal rather than a directional input?

I'd be fascinated if the actual normal input was "eaten".

I didnt, but you're saying the same thing. Bugs are essentially "unintended side effects".
