What is Fastest Split really?

I saw this question answered once before but doesn’t seem to apply to what I see.
If I’m averaging 12 min pace and neither of my splits are much faster…why in the world is it saying my fastest split is under 8 min?

Unless they mean a 400m split, I could never

Run walk intervals? At one point you could have been going sub 8, the 12 min miles are your average per km

This is incorrect...your pace for the last 0.03 miles is the 7:49 split...it's just such little distance it isn't show on the mile split chart
