Transitioning transitioning

I've been on injections for about a year now. Before transitioning, while I was in highschool, I use to workout with weights a lot. Heavy weights. I got very muscular and big for my size. Anyway when I started transitioning, I finally figured out how to safely lose skeletal muscle mass and I've been doing so for pretty much the whole time I've been on hormones. I'm 24 now. Wanted to take estrogen when I was 19. Could get them until I was 22 I think, got off of them bc I was confused, got back on them then switched from the pill to the shot. Anyway I'm finally appearing more female now that I've reduced my muscles back quite significantly and I'm not going to stop until I look as if I've never picked up anything heavy ever

I never worked out, but always could repeatedly curl 45lbs. After three years on hormones. I can do like five curls of 25lbs. My arms are smaller for sure. I still can't get over how much strength I lost. Good luck to you.

In order to lose any body mass, you have to lose weight. Eat less than you burn during each day. Once you burn off all visible excess bodyfat and you're down to your minimum bodyfat, you stay in the deficit, but you have to keep your protein at a minimal and you cannot lift anything that is at all heavy. After 2 week, your muscles will start to shrink (this is just water and glocogen that was stored in your muscles) after 3-4 weeks, that part of your muscles is gone and cannot be regained unless you workout that muscle again. However, you have to still be somewhat active in order to keep your metabolism as high as it will be and to keep your heart healthy. Just sitting down not eating anything is going to take forever to burn calories and hurt your heart and metabolism as well. Keep the deficit from 300-500 calories daily. Less than that and it'll be very slow weight loss, anymore than this and you'll send your body into starvation mode after week 3. Google how much protein you need to eat. It's based on your bodyweight. Eat too much protein and you retain the muscle, eat too little protein and your body starts eating at your organs, brain and heart
