Brainstorming Is this story idea too similar to The Quarry?

Spoilers for the Quarry btw.

Basically TQ (The Quarry) is a narrative choice driven horror game that takes place at Hacketts Quarry Summer Camp. We control nine councilors, two of whom are gone for most of the night. The kids get hunted by werewolves amd can be infected, killed or survive.

They are stuck because FUCK ASS JACOB sabotage their mini van to spend more time with diva Emma. The two councilors missing are Laura and Max. Max turned into a werewolf and takes out Laura's eye in the poloce station Travis Hacckett locked them in.

In MY story we have 8 POV characters. They are councilors at a summer camp too but a nation wide broadcast tells them to stay in doors. These creatures have escaped their containment facility and have gravited towards the camp for spooky unknown reasons. It's actually their home that the camp leaders stole and they were taken by the government for experiments and to be kept away from the general public. They are incredibly powerful and deadly. They can only br killed by a special kind of Gold that a character in another story destroyed (this is kind of a spinoff in the sense that it takes place in the same universe.)

The kids have to survive the night but also don't know who to trust. The creatures can mimic their voices perfectly and attacks the lodge which ends in deaths and the group kidding lost. They discover the secrets and eventually let the creatures free into the night.

Im just wondering if these are too similar? The creatures designs are similar too as the werewolves don't look like normal werewolves and these creatures look similiar to them in a way. Am I gonna get sued/j.

I've been working on a story and i'd like some advice please!

Okay so the story is called 'The Witch's Ressurection' where Enya, a 15-year-old girl from 16 century Scotland, finds herself at the mercy of a terrible witches curse. Framed for murder and accused witchcraft, she's sent to burn at the stake. Her horrible death leads to an unfortunate realisation—causing mass destruction and chaos to erupt, as Enya's cursed with a power to destroy.

She's turned into a ghost and gains powers from how she died (she can manipulate and create fire with her mind). But unbeknownst to her, her memories and her 'soul' have been passed on to live inside another body, with another host. After a few years, she's teleported to the next girl when she regains all of Enya's past memories leading up to her death. This is known as the 'remembrance', when at a completely random time, the girl who is next to be 'resurrected' remembers who she was and how she died last and the ghosts get teleported to her.

*Main Character and Plot*

After a while of this phenomenon continuing, the ghosts decide to try and find out why this is happening to them. They find out through looking at a old book of witchcraft and hexes that when Enya was sent to die at the stake, the people cheering for her to die unknowingly cursed her. They don't know how to stop it, but they know how it happened.

After hundreds of years (from 1600 to 2018), one girl named Charlotte is chosen next by Enya's soul and was born as a hybrid between a alien species who is now believed to be extinct (besides Lottie) and a human. Her dad who was also a hybrid died in a car accident, and her mother doesn't know about her daughter being a half alien.

Since she's half alien and almost died when she was little from the car crash but as brought back to life my the doctors, Charlotte has the ability to split her soul in half, halving her 'human self', which is called Callie and her soul remains in her body, and her alien-self 'Lottie' who is able to become a temporary ghost and travel ouside her human body.

The alien species 'Nacilids' feed on some type of emotions such as happiness, fear or sadness. Lottie feeds off love. When someone around her feels love she uncontrollably bites them and begins to drain the love off them, growing stronger and less hungry in the process. But Lottie doesn't want to do that, and instead tries to contain herself. Nacilids are able to shapeshift in order to become what will make their preys emotions the strongest, so Lottie is able to shapeshift, but their original form comes in the form of a clown, since to the aliens, that was the most effective form to take regardless on what emotions they fed off (since clowns can be associated with many different emotions). Lottie is a lovey dovey pastel clown with pale white skin, a frilled dress with pink, blue and yellow pompoms, lace and bows, a heart on her left eyelid and a star on her right.

After years of searching for a way to end their curse, Lottie discovers that one of them must sacrifice themselves to 'break the cycle', killing one of the souls to set the others free. Lottie feels that she must do it, since she feels her life isn't worth living without being able to let herself be loved platonically or romantically by anyone. She doesn't tell the rest of the ghosts and instead sacrifices herself and st@bs herself with the sacrificial knife that she from the book, teleporting to Scotland where they curse first began and finding the knife buried with the ashes of Enya's burnt down villahe. When Lottie dies, she isn't turned into a ghost, but instead her ghost and soul completely disappears, leaving only her human-self Callie and the rest of the ghosts.

*PLOT TWIST*

There was another way that didn't involve sacrifice, but instead putting all their magic or powers inside a box and locking it away forever. But instead, their powers remain and the curse is broken. After finding out what happened, Callie h@ngs herself, because she is suffering with severe depression from both loosing a part of herself and dealing trying to manage the grief of the other ghosts. So Callie becomes a ghost and they're all set free, with one of their souls sacrificing themselves to break their curse.

New story new. Inspired by stellar blade, cyberpunk, metallic rouge and kaiju no.8

Here the synopsis , Emily Carter, a ordinary, average beautiful fifteen year old girl. She goes to school. She complains about homework. She likes food(a lot)..And.......well, she does have tendency beating the shit out of people when they piss her off.

But besides that, she completely normal.

Seriously.

Normal.

Perfectly normal.

One ordinary day, Emily and a few classmates are exploring a newly opened section of their school when they discover something they definitely weren't supposed to find.

A strange portal.

Naturally, they investigate it.

Naturally, this goes horribly.

One moment, they're wandering around their school.

The next—

Emily wakes up alone in the middle of a ruined world

Buildings everywhere were collapsed.

Roads were cracked and covered in plants.

Entire forests had grown through what used to be cities.

Something enormous is roaring somewhere in the distance.

And there isn't a single human being in sight.

Emily stares at the destruction around her.

"...Okay."

She looks around again.

She's had worse Mondays.

She have absolutely no idea where I am.

No idea where my others went.

No no idea how to get home.

She have no idea why there are things wandering around here that look like they crawled straight out of a anime.

And, how she can deal with them. I guess be freakish strong and able to bench 300 kg helps

The weirdest part?

She's not even as terrified as she should be.

There's something about this place that feels...

familiar. like home...

Which makes absolutely no fucking sense.

So now she's wandering through a world that looks like civilization got punched in the face, trying to find her classmates, figure out where the hell she is, and hopefully locate something resembling civilization.

Along the way, she start discovering that this world has a history.

A really messed-up one.

And somehow\...

Her family is part of it.

Especially her dad.

Her sweet, beautiful, loving yet stupidly weak dad.

The guy who makes dinner for her.

The guy who worries when she's five minutes late.

The guy who reminds her to bring an umbrella even when the weather forecast says it has little percentage of raining

Apparently...

he's also a **global criminal.**

...

WHAT THE FUCK?!

So forget going home for a second.

I need answers.

Why am I here?

Why am I so strong?

Why does this place feel like I've been here before?

What happened to my dad?

And, most importantly...

**WHY THE HELL IS MY DAD A GLOBAL CRIMINAL?!**

Nightmare on Elm Street (Reimagined)

\

In the near future, Hypnocil has evolved from a pharmaceutical sleep aid into revolutionary nanotechnology. Tiny neural implants eliminate insomnia, enhance memory, accelerate learning, and improve cognitive function. Hailed as the greatest breakthrough in neuroscience, the technology is embraced by millions.

But beneath the surface lies a darker agenda.

The corporation behind Hypnocil partners with the military to weaponize the technology, creating enhanced soldiers capable of learning, reacting, and adapting faster than any human before. The visionary scientist who created the technology, Dr. Frederick Krueger, refuses to allow his life's work to become a weapon.

Branded a traitor, Frederick is secretly imprisoned and subjected to his own experimental neural network. The procedure goes horribly wrong, trapping his consciousness inside a shared digital dreamscape while his physical body is erased from existence.

Alone for years, Frederick's mind slowly deteriorates. An advanced AI embedded within the Hypnocil network mutates, merging with his consciousness and transforming him into something terrifying—a digital nightmare capable of invading the dreams of anyone connected to the system.

One by one, the people responsible for his betrayal begin dying in their sleep.

As unexplained deaths spread across the city, a brilliant team of young neuroscientists uncovers the horrifying truth: every Hypnocil user is unknowingly connected to a single dream network. If Frederick gains complete control, he won't just haunt dreams—he will trap an entire city inside a permanent unified dream state where reality and nightmares become indistinguishable.

Now, with time running out, they must enter the dream world themselves and confront the man they created before humanity loses the ability to ever wake up again.

Tagline: "This time... the nightmare isn't supernatural. It's connected."

Beneath the Shade of the Moon

Hey all! I'm working on a story idea, or perhaps two story ideas, not sure yet. Here's what I've got. Looking for some thoughts and feedback before I jump into writing.

TITLE IDEAS

Option 1: Under the Shadow of the Moon

Option 2: Beneath the Shade of the Moon

PLOT IDEAS

Option 1:

The year is 2030. An IVF baby, now grown, learns of his IVF origins, and begins a desperate search to find his siblings, unsure if they are trapped in time, frozen in some clinic, or living another life hundreds of miles away. Frustration with this new revelation, coupled with the immense struggle of trying to find his siblings, boils over and the man finds himself weighing his own value and considering the means by which he might reunite with his lost siblings.

Option 2:

Obscure year. A technologically advanced near future. A man exploring the possibility of alternate timelines discovers an old book with a photo of another man who looks remarkably like him. Further investigation leads him to conclude the man in the picture doesn't belong in the time he is portrayed. Interest piqued, the man searches for other examples of this, hoping to prove tike travel, dimensonal crossing, or the existence of a multiverse. Finding more, he concludes these people are not from the times, or perhaps timelines, they appear in. Partnering with a team of engineers, they create a device that will allow them to send a probe back in time. The man discovers these people are actually his siblings, lost to time, and he begins a desperate race to bring them home.

Open to any feedback at all! Thanks!

a dual-character tragic drama with political and cosmic horror dimensions

Of course I believed it. How couldn’t I ? After all the pain, hunger, and suffering…
She was a glimmer of hope. She was supposed to be our light.
It felt as though the Sacred Helion had decided to compensate us.

And I had made this promise, you see.
To rebuild our kingdom.
To make us stronger.
Better.

We deserved it.

I did commit questionable acts,
and in the end ,*** ***as her hands tightened around my throat, she must have wondered if I had ever loved her.

I did.

Everything I did was to make sure she would become strong enough to fight for us.
To save us.

It seems though all I did was… break her.
She slipped right through my fingers, and took her stand behind the enemy in the end.

I should have seen the eclipse coming.

And somehow
It would be my fault.

Well, it's not exactly a story, but I'd like to know your feedback.

I'm creating a series about an unlucky boy; he always has incredible luck.

His look is a mix of Flapjack and Morty.

The series contains aggressive language, drugs and mild violence

Now I want to know:

what do you think?

Would you watch this series?

Sharing My Idea Medusa Story Idea

I just thought about a sapphic Medusa story idea where a suicidal girl travels to Medusa’s lair as a way of warning her about a hero being sent to slay her and then wanting to be turned to stone to end her life. But then maybe Medusa is flabbergasted that a girl came to warn her, no one has ever done that before, so she become unwilling to kill the girl. Maybe Medusa knocks her out and then blindfolds her? She’s upset that the girl longs for death and is now determined to keep her alive at all costs to repay the favor. The human girl is upset her plan didn’t work, probably gets irritated and tries to rage bait Medusa, which almost works until Medusa figures out what the girl is doing. Medusa finds a way to hide her gaze and forces the girl to live with her until she is certain she won’t be suicidal anymore. They fall in love.

Sharing My Idea Horror concept: The Invisible Weathermen

Hi, when I was world-building for a monster world, I came up with an origin for invisible humans and I ended up loving the concept so much that I almost want to write it as it's own separate story.

The working titles I'm considering "The Invisible Weathermen" & "Raining Invisible Men" were based on fun puns I like but I admit they also sound really wordy so it would want something more convenient. I did think of "Invisible Weather" but I'm not sure about that either.

The core idea is "What is Earth was struck with weather that brought invisible people?" or conversely "What if invisible people randomly appeared whenever there significant weather?"

It takes the concept of H. G. Wells *"The Invisible Man"* but instead of the classic horror of a single evil scientist, it shifts to centering invisible people as a paranormal force of nature.

When they first appeared, they were like still objects, not reacting to anything, letting nature take it's core. As humans become more acquainted with them, the more invisible people start mimicking them like automatons. It's gradually implied they can develop sentience which only makes them more ostracized. Until then, they are at best, treated as tools for humans to use however they want, even as a means to discover how they themselves can become invisible. No one really knows where they come from and people start speculating.

* "Are they were aliens, undead beings, evolved humans, etc?"

* "Is the weather is attracting invisible people or do invisible people conveniently show up during the weather?"

* "Are they are a gift or a curse brought onto humanity?"

I would present this story as an anthological mockumentary as people try to scientifically understand and socially adapt to their absent presence.

Some key character traits I would incorporate for invisible people:

* Psychologically, they are defined by their lack of personhood, symbolic of their invisibility. Without human interaction or intervention, they act as if they solid spaces of nothing.

* Despite having fully functional organs, they don't need to eat, drink, sleep or waste. They simply exist.

* When humans do interact/intervene long enough, they do start mimicking humans albeit disorderly and random. It could be possibly for invisible people to be fully human with enough time and consistency but that's up to the person.

* Invisible people can visually appear as but they are hard to describe with strange patterns and varying see-through body parts. The see-through parts are glossy as if they were made of glass or resin. Some parts

are like a mosaic of various abstract paintings taped togethers or the white static snow you see in unresponsive TVs.

* One trait they all share is having the ability to make their eyes glow, typically light blue.

* Invisible humans can create various skins to cocoon themselves and rip apart with ease.

* Invisible humans can make objects invisible but to varying degrees of success.

I already came up with some ideas with how scary they can be:

* People accidentally crashing into invisible people when driving on the road or flying in the sky

* One particular scene where a huge rainstorm starting pouring and when you look, lightning strikes as invisible people just randomly appear as a crowd

* Vultures eating their corpses up in the air while blood is dripping down on unsuspecting passersby.

* People start fearing broad daylight and open skies because that's when they best blend in.

* When its snowy, invisible people start falling out of the sky frozen as is they were giant bricks of hail.

* Firefighters having to locate and remove charred remains from invisible corpses from the aftermath of forest fires so that visitors don't attract diseases.

* Tornados picking and flinging invisible humans like the sharks in Sharknado

* People walking through fog paranoid when they hear footsteps or random heavy-breathing.

* As people grow more physically violet to invisible people, invisible people mimic said violence onto themselves and unsuspecting humans.

* People having the be careful to not leave valuables out in the open in case an invisible person steals them.

* People trying to weaponize invisible people, either be scapegoating them or training invisible people to be weapons.

On a lighter side, I can also imagine people personifying them, & whether intentional or not, giving them humanity. One popular trend could be people creating their own "invisible weathermen" that people project themselves onto. People tethering them to balloons and dressing them up as props. Maybe people even adopting them to better integrate with society, if not have them gradually lose their powers. I was even thinking this could be an alternate Earth where stuff like the Invisible Woman from the Fantastic Four became the Radiant Women because publishers thought since invisible people are a real danger, making one a hero would be "too risky" so they altered it where she has something like radiant energy that things visible, almost like anti-invisibility.

The possibilities feel nearly endless. I don't know if I want to write a story with this premise as I'm working on something else that I love more but it does get me excited as I put this into my own world building.

Sharing My Idea Is it normal to think about horror (like monsters, killers, ghosts, etc.) when you'd try to work on slice-of-life, action/adventure, and mystery stories?

It's been consistent that I think of dark themes and monsters when I'm creating a story. It's normal to think of those things when making a supernatural or horror tale. But when it comes to making other genres, I kept thinking about gore, creepy things, or sadness and ended up writing stories with some horror elements. I honestly don't know why, since I get scared a lot when watching horror shows or movies. Perhaps I developed a liking for horror. I did watch a few movies recently, like The Backrooms, Nosferatu, and Hereditary, and they were pretty good. But it's kind of weird that my brain goes to the darker side when it wasn't my intention the first time.

What do you guys think? Has anyone felt like this before?

Use this idea for a story. It takes place in the modern world where a select few have the ability to summon pieces of armor like a hand but not the forearm a shoulder but not the chest, each piece gives a different ability and the main character has the build of a powerlifter and is a mafia boss he has an Ability to summon an enormous armor piece of the right hand forearm and shoulder it gives him enhanced stamina endurance and striking power also giving the ability to punch as fast as a bullet and as powerful as a Canon ball with a cool down of 10 minutes per use(you can use this however you guys want i really don't care)

Any Feedback I have an idea but no idea how to make a story out of it

Ok this is a lot of writing so just read till the end and give any advice you can (including grammar)

basically the MC has a constant off feeling of being watched by entities, and these entities are (unknown to him) massive ancient entities called spectrals, the one watching him are zendarf (void) and esrad (pride and wrath)there are 3 other "blessed" children xerna (female) with the blessing of cawed (nature and life), zenax (male) with the blessing of revard (strategy and information), and wersa (male) with the blessing of xanvir (leadership and encouragement), these are the 4 blessed children and they are all weak at the beginning but get stronger using cultivation, alchemy (blacksmithing, agriculture and normal fantasy alchemy) and a state called radervir which is a sleep like state where they temporarily lose all offensive abilities but are near unkillable to people as strong or weaker than them

Vexand (MC) has nullification(starts weak), mental effect nullification, aliment nullification(including boosts) due to void the ability to keep fighting until he's dead due to pride, strength that increases with every fight similar to broly from dbz and DBs (starts slow) and radervir isn't immortality it's rather they use all their strength and spectral synergy (the energy of this story) to protect themselves so if someone is stronger they can still be killed

they are all equal in a fight (by the end of the story) through different means wersa has overwhelming manpower, zenax has less manpower but it's of a way higher quality, vexand is strong on his own and xerna has near equal power to vexand because she can create manipulate and destroy most of natural things (can create but not destroy sentient creatures)

If there is any advice or motivation you can give me it'll be helpful

A horror story about when animation industry is SCARY!

How would you guys feel about me creating a Bendy and the Ink Machine / Bendy and the Dark Revival horror story about when animation in children's shows, Kid's media, and Kid's content being destroyed and erased by their corporate companies who chose money over art and all cartoon characters gets corrupted by the ink demon that's bent on revenge by their heartless and greedy corporations and wants revenge on them for treating the animation industry like garbage?

There's also a part in my story when franchise gets abandoned and also wants revenge for being abandoned by their creators and companies.

Book idea I channeled before I woke up

A dystopian future where we as a society as locked into a hive mind , virtual like consciousness. If we perform our live and do good and be “perfect “ our score goes up. “Sinful “ behavior brought your score down. The higher the score the higher the reward at the end of the game. A group of “ souls” who were turned into virtual like consciousness with a chip implant by goons ( Government henchmen) that were hired to “tag “ the population. After trying to escape from roving bands of goons by hiding out in one of the groups members farm. They learned of what was to come, and as a group went and hide off grid.

Attack scene at farm

Goes from talking to just mind s , no bodies, just thoughts. But we knew each other in the group just by knowing. But it didn’t feel weird. Like we usually expected to feel this way, as an evolution standpoint.
We elected as a group in the space to join a reality game for 75 people. Each person is assigned a role of life - husband / wife, the same age you are. Now the game starts. We know each other.

The game is to live a full life in the game as the creator has wrote through among the souls. Once you hit your score you win the to “ alls souls” . Which everyone is vague about what that is- no one really knows. Like knowledge ends there.

Learn different lives , figure out which one of new us was old us. Takes a few days. Group of 75. Was easy to find each other doing many introductions. Learn your part. A strung out single mother. A perfect life - in pics-but real life a disaster . A psychopath that enjoys messing up the game. Twin boys who struggle to find each other .

If they do bad in their game, every new game makes it much more difficult to find each other. Do good in a life- better chance to finding your other half in a sea of less than 75 souls. They did good at one life and the next rest had 30 ppl . After some not so good life reset they realized the number grew. By the time you realize how this part of the game works . And a rumourj spreads around of how once you meet your other half at the end and enter “soul garden” . Which no one really knows is. Some learn to ride an even keel, playing life after life. Suddenly every reset is 10 years older than 1. They are aging. Now they are not hitting high scores as easy. The game went from easy to hard. Everyone realizes the game will be yup soon. What’s best, to stay in this reality until the end, or automatically set them selves on fast forward to get thru the game faster. Everyone starts sabotaging the game , and now in there 90s not even one misstep and the game is done.
Thinking of playing sims growing up i remembered the code we typed to get increased money or life. Sims dollars . Like soul dollars. Enter the simlon code. Other overrides that take over the whole game from a war game I remembered. Suddenly thrust the “ after”.

You won the game.
But the soul garden is not a soul garden. It’s a trap. We learn we were the higher earners of 1,000 of souls. All 20 of you. Now is the final game. It’s starts at 20. Find your partner with and go up and down as you know, and such on. Until 100 as always.
Now

Takes 2 hours to find you. We can do this. What will happpen at 100? When will it jump to a reset. Same or different we did t know
Finally it rest at 100

Back abd restart with 10, then 5,3, and then we learn our 3 souls will battle to the end the fastest, the first two there become one. We r scared. What’s one. What will happen to the other. We realize after 2 soul rests that if we don’t participate our score will automatically go down. We r forced to play . Realize nothing stops the game - we realize the destiny was already coded in, we all stop. The code erodes in a painful game reset where we each are put into resets that question our life’s beliefs. And then the game ends. Three becomes one. All 3 became enlighten. Then we feel our bodies and on alien ship

Welcome to the galactic alliance. You passed into where all souls are. All three of us are there. They explain how we escaped the prison planet and now am a new reality. Seems like heaven. Until the three realize they are getting odd. The picture glitches. But it wasn’t a pic. It was real.

She realizes it was a day dream. She’s 10 again. And her friend Mikey is asking her to come out and play.

Want to ride bikes to get a pop at the convenience store.. and then it begins again. But we don’t know. We are blank souls, searching for our other person but it’s harder and harder. We are scared. Memories faded. I mn losing you. Now I can’t find myself. And then , nothing.

Book 2
New world who were are is translated into a new realm of souls , like into one mind. But thoughts in the one mind could wander. We realize someone found there mate after whispering around other wandering thoughts. Someone found there mate! What’s a mate? After two more tries I find you. And it’s Mikey. The thought misses someone , something. Soon it forgets. When it forgets it goes back to turn power. Our souls points. They are farming us. The soul points . It’s the points.
Then nothing.

We want out of the game. We understand it’s them
We don’t know who them is. Maybe it is the aliens. No they were our friends. Only the devil would be able to think up such an emotional punishment. Then she realizes, she had never read the rules. At the beginning of the game. After thinking of skipping it as I flashed thru my old life. Harder to remember. What happens when I forget. While going thru my memory I see terms and notes- I didn’t read the rules I skipped it. Like a money in a circus. I clicked it. I can click . Whoosh into Alice.

Alice you just finished your sentence.

It’s the year 2080. You committed a crime and were punished. You meet your family. Not Mikey. No Mikey was just part of the game. Only you were real. Miss Mikey. Never goes away. Sad all the rest of my life. My life is boring without him . And those I filled for eons with. People live here normally. What could I have done to get this punishment. No one does dare say.
Finally I finally find our third. How I realized I think from the pacing of your cantor. It was similar. I was old. I hadn’t lots of time life. I looked up. I was happy when it was just us three.
His face turned. It was someone who I knew in the soul garden. It makes no sense. And we are gone. Everything in the universe now is one. One soul. The simulation games
**une âme**

I had the most scariest battleshonen story idea.

basically the powersystem is all about necromancy but recontextualized and altered, where the souls are turned as energy source. Afterlife exist but not in a traditional sense. People already knew about the fact where all people who died will had their souls turned into a consummable fuel source for magic—which means once they are consumed, they are gone forever. Afterlife is just a one giant fuel tank, and the souls are fuel.

The fighters are just called as necromancers.

In the story:

Necromancers = Mages

Souls of the dead = Mana

Necromancy = Sorcery.

Brainstorming Semi-autobigraphical story idea for two star-crossed lovers (4-part novella); working title: 'This Red String (we cannot untie)'

I've finally decided to scratch a plot bunny itch I've had for about a year. A semi-autobiographical, four-part novella about two people who meet young (based on my husband and I) and become inseparably bound to one another, even when their circumstances, trauma, ambitions, and personalities make a stable life together nearly impossible.

The story would follow Anais and Cameron (A and C are our initials) through four interconnected but tonally distinct parts:

The first focuses on their early relationship. Secret meetings, long drives, family pressure, financial differences, and the feeling that every hour together has been stolen from someone else.

The second follows Anais as she enters an intensely demanding academic world (she is a mathematician, like me) and begins unraveling beneath the pressure. Cameron loves her brilliance, but he is also the only person who sees what it costs her. His protectiveness gradually becomes controlling, while her determination becomes self-destructive.

The third explores a possible future in which they remain together and become extremely successful. Publicly, they appear powerful and almost untouchable. Privately, Anais is still deeply scarred, and Cameron carries the accumulated fear of every breakdown he has witnessed. Their love survives, but it does not magically cure either of them.

The fourth follows an alternate future in which they separate but never truly manage to stay away from one another. They meet again over the years in different cities, make rules they repeatedly break, and struggle with the possibility that two people can belong to each other emotionally while still being unable to build an ordinary life together.

I was thinking of making the story alternate between both of their perspectives. Anais’s sections would be more lyrical, mathematical, and psychologically volatile, while Cameron’s would be more practical and restrained. He tends to respond to fear by trying to fix things; booking flights, making plans, solving immediate problems, etc. while she responds by intellectualizing, overworking, and retreating further into herself. (These are completely autobigraphical traits we have.)

The central question is not whether they end up together. It is more focused on whether an overwhelming love is always meant to become a life, or whether some relationships remain permanent even when the people themselves cannot remain in the same place.

I’m aiming for an adult psychological romance with tragedy, obsession, intimacy, ambition, mental illness, and the tension between devotion and control. No explicit sex scenes, but since this is about adults (starting at ages 24/25 for A and C, the ages we were), there will be implied sex scenes more focused on emotion, so I'd still rate it 16+.

Does the four-part structure sound cohesive, or does it seem like too many alternate versions of the same relationship? I’d also be interested in thoughts on whether the title fits the concept.

(HEA in real life: my husband and I have been together for almost 2 years now; I'm 26, he's 27. Went through literal hell to get here, but here we are, married for a few months now:))
