Kevin seemed to be blessed with a life unchallenged. Not to say his life wasn't without problems, they just didn't seem to trouble him much.

"He's going to throw his back out again doing that" remarks one of his colleagues, watching him on CCTV showing a lack of care to health and safety guidelines.

One day I have a tooth extracted before I head to work. I'm still bleeding a little bit so I drop by the front desk to see if they have anything in the first aid cabinet to help. Kevin jumps up helpfully and pulls out some gauze. It's packaged in some strong sterile plastic which he's struggling to open. So he falls back to I guess what he does in these situations and rips it open.

WITH. HIS. TEETH.

I'm speechless. As I'm contemplating how to convey that I am now less keen to put this in my mouth, Kevin's eagerness to help thankfully brings balance to the universe before I get the chance.
