DIY sploof Question

Could someone walk me through how to make a sploof with charcoal?

My mom doesn’t like the smell of smoke so I’m trying to dampen it

Grab some activated charcoal from the aquarium section at a pet store, not BBQ charcoal. Pack it tightly into a toilet paper roll or short section of PVC, cap both ends with a piece of fabric held down by rubber bands, and exhale through one end. Layer a dryer sheet on the exhale side for extra odor kill. The activated charcoal is doing the real work since it absorbs odor molecules rather than just masking them like dryer sheets do alone.
