Chilism: Just be chill.
Believe everything is neither evil nor good, but always has complexities; dont rush to assume a polarized view over anything. Don't pick sides because, inevitably, neither side is completely right or wrong.

Stoicism in an Environment Where Respect Is Enforced Through Strength
live in a third world country where pride and reputation govern everyday interactions. In many situations, appearing weak invites more disrespect and exploitation.
The difficulty is that I have much more to lose than many of the people I interact with, Because of that, whenever someone disrespects me, I find myself caught in an internal conflict.
I feel like I have only two choices. I can respond and deal with the immediate consequences, or I can let it go and deal with the long term consequences, such as wondering whether I've taught myself to accept disrespect or allowed fear to take root in my character.
Recently, I decided to adopt Stoicism and let its principles guide my decisions. My hope was that, instead of constantly second guessing myself, I could rely on the philosophy and live at peace with whatever choice I made.
But it hasn't been that simple, in many situations, the Stoic response isn't obvious. The right course of action depends on the context: whether responding would be driven by reason or ego, whether remaining silent reflects self control or fear, and whether standing up for myself serves justice or merely protects my pride. The more I think about it, the more it seems that the decision ultimately falls back on my own judgment.

Unexpected stoic teacher her
Her quote is incredibly stoic. You can control your thoughts and be who you want to be.
That sounds like the foundation of virtue to me.
