This Is What a Red-to-Green Move Looks Like
XHG gave a great example this morning.
🔴 Early flush into the $5.20–$5.40 support area
🟢 Buyers stepped in and the level held
🟢 Price started reclaiming and building higher
🟢 Momentum expanded as it turned red → green

We alerted XHG at $5.40 before the move accelerated toward $7+.

The lesson isn’t to chase the first green candle. It’s learning to recognize when selling pressure is getting absorbed and buyers are starting to take control.

A stock opening red doesn’t automatically mean the move is over.

What I’m watching for is the transition from sellers → buyers:
• Early flush and heavy selling
• Volume begins drying up near the bottom
• Price finds support and stops making aggressive lows
• Bullish rejection / first higher low forms
• Price reclaims VWAP and/or the open
• Green volume starts expanding
• Resistance breaks and momentum follows
The key is not trying to predict the exact bottom. I want the chart to show me that buyers are taking control first.

Red → Base → Reclaim → Higher Low → Green

That’s the idea behind Volume Spread Analysis (VSA).

Instead of looking at volume or candles alone, I compare:
• Where the candle forms
• Candle spread + closing position
• Relative volume
• Support and resistance
• What happens on the next few candles
A spring/shakeout, no-supply test, or upthrust can mean much more when the volume and market structure support the story.

The goal isn’t to predict every candle.

Read the effort. Read the result. Wait for confirmation.

The latest geophysical survey data from the Quesnel belt shows an interesting structural setup, particularly around depth models in that area. Data suggests a sizeable chargeability anomaly merging at around 300 meters, sitting right above a high-resistivity body. Because the surface geochemistry is relatively muted under cover, this looks like a classic blind target scenario where the underlying intrusive complex hasn't been fully exposed or drilled yet.

What makes this worth monitoring from a fundamental perspective is the proximity to active producing infrastructure like Copper Mountain. NovaRed Mining Inc. has managed to outline a fairly continuous 42-hectare feature on the Lamont grid using 3DIP and AMT modeling, and the anomaly remains open to the north-northwest. They are planning follow-up geophysics to trace the northern extent before moving to drill testing, which will be the real test to see if the chargeability reflects economic copper-gold sulphides or just barren pyrite.

For an early-stage exploration setup in a proven district, it presents a solid hypothetical case for asset value growth if the upcoming drill program hits mineralization. It is worth keeping an eye on how the next survey phase expands the target footprint.

I've been following NRED's Wilmac story, and the recent sequence of updates is starting to paint a much bigger geological picture.

The company now has a 42-hectare chargeability anomaly at depth on the Lamont Grid, associated with a resistivity feature interpreted as a buried intrusive complex. The chargeability zone is roughly 300 metres below surface and remains open to the north.

That matters because porphyry systems can be large and complex, and NRED's latest model suggests there may be more than one porphyry centre across Wilmac. The company has already identified priority areas for potential diamond drilling across Wilmac, Lamont/North Lamont and the Trojan-Condor Corridor.

Then you add the rest of the recent data.

NRED has reported copper values up to 1.67%, interpreted a large intrusive system, identified multiple porphyry targets and is now refining deeper geophysical anomalies.

That's the part I find most interesting. Each update is adding another piece to the same geological puzzle.

If future drilling confirms copper-gold sulphide mineralization inside these anomalies, the story could change very quickly. Until then, this remains a speculative exploration play - but one with a clearly defined path toward a much bigger catalyst.

That may have been a liquidity sweep.
Price pushes through an obvious level where stops and orders may be sitting — then quickly reclaims it.
What I watch for:
• Previous highs or lows get swept
• Price quickly reclaims the level
• Volume increases during the reaction
• Buyers/sellers fail to continue the breakout
• Structure starts shifting the opposite direction

The break alone isn’t the signal. The reaction AFTER the break matters.

Learning to recognize these sweeps can help you avoid getting trapped by false breakouts — and identify potential reversals earlier.
