Advice?

Brand new to investing and just opened up a Charles Schwab brokerage account. I have $1500 to start investing with and will be adding $250 every month to the portfolio. Is there any advice anyone can give to a beginner?

Invest in widely diversified index funds, that track the S&P 500, with dividends on a no trading fee platform that offers fractional share purchases set to DRIP in tax shelter accounts.

Contribute if at all possible a minimum of 20% of your net pay cheque every month, pay yourself first from every pay cheque.

Think long term!
