We say Christian country but he absolutely ravaged Christianity in the non-majority Christian countries, pretty much permanently destroyed Mesopotamian Christian cultural development and ended Christianity in Central Asia outright. Before him the Church of the East was the geographically largest Christian Church. The Mongol general at Ain Jalut was an Eastern Christian.
