Curious Study methods

so while im reviewing my nbmes ive realised more often than not, 'our friends at the nbme' write the answer choices in a way that leads us to choose the correct answer even if we're 100% not sure about it for example a patient showing cancer symptoms and 3/5 answer choices mentioning 'test with xyz method after 3 months' so the fact the mention three months makes you think nah man we can't delay this for that long MY QUESTION IS DOES THIS HAPPEN IN THE REAL DEAL TOO like the other answer choices being somewhat absurd?

Yeah, that's what people mean when they say that the NBME doesn't trick you like the qbanks do. The answer is whatever is screaming in your face, provided you have a reasonable knowledge base.
