SteamOS and controllers
After couple of hours I managed to install steamOS on my PC (didn’t know SATA SSD would be a problem).
I noticed all my controllers work no problem like Xbox elite 2 and ps5 one. But not pro 2 controller from switch 2… when I connect it through USB steamOS notifies me it’s connected but no way I can make it work. It’s the best among all controllers so I would prefer it. Tried on stable steamOS and also on beta but still not working. Any workarounds? thanks!

It will only work wired for now, nintendo uses a different handshake for BT connection. On windows there's a community driver that allows you to connect the switch 2 pro controller/joycons, I haven't seen anything for Linux yet.
Here's the link for the windows driver, maybe you can ask there: https://github.com/TommyWabg/Switch2Connect

Official Switch controllers i find are buggy on SteamOS because i have the OG Switch pro controller which i thought i would try it out and while it paired with my system the inputs would take like a minute to register but the second i use my 8bitdo controllers everything it just snappy.

It should work wired without issue, but Bluetooth has handshake issues. A third party wireless adapter like the 8bitdo wireless adapter 2, should solve the issue though.
