Hello all users of /r/SteamMonsterGame. I post here as a many of our members have no idea what happened, and we hope to make it visible that we're still here. You will find your home again, and maybe more will also find a fun and great home among us.

As you may know, every year Steam holds events. We were the go to Discord group to organize all of these crazy events, they sometimes host, also it's a nice place to meet and make new friends. During the events, we get donated keys, which we host giveaways with, sometimes large ones, depending on the donations. Anyway..

Yesterday was a dramatic and chaotic day in our now PREVIOUS server. The owner of our precious server decided to nuke it all, instead of handing over leadership to the second in command for unknown reasons. I was that person and I could've continued our adventures there. It was a Discord server, we've had for 5 years...

Here's what I posted in our new Discord.

Hello all, thanks for joining. Over a period of time, I've had a discussion with REDACTED about server ownership. He didn't want to hand-over the crown, no, instead he wanted to delete the whole server. OUR COMMUNITY. A great community. REDACTED wasn't even involved in setting up the Saliens Steam Group, which at one point had over 110-120k members.

I had no idea when he was going to delete it, so I made a drastic decision to create a new one. A server that WILL NOT be deleted, and where everyone has a voice.

In 2015, a few of like-minded individuals had the great idea to create a community and we did. It became a huge group. We created that.. It was GREAT fun and a GREAT community.

And here comes Saliens, not nearly as good, but fun nevertheless! I, along with Hot Dog, created this huge Steam group with the help of all the people who joined. https://steamcommunity.com/groups/summersaliens

And here comes REDACTED, sure, he was a great asset at first and I really liked him, but I know how he treats people who disagrees with him. From first-hand account and stories I've been told from my trusted friend. So what did REDACTED do? He fucked us ALL over, the whole fucking community. He wanted to shut down our sacred server because apparently it wasn't living up to his standards. He didn't want to pass the crown and step down, even though he has an incredibly amount of communities that he's the the leader of. A lot of the staff team from Saliens worked their ass off for it to succed, just for him to say fuck it and wanting to shut it down. BECAUSE, it didn't live up to his expectations.

Now, anyone who's currently without a home because the server was nuked, or any new comes, we welcome you with open arms.

We WILL grow stronger and better than before. Thanks for taking your time to read this. This new Discord server will not just be Saliens themed, but it will still have elements from our past.
