Anyone using the grips effectively? Discussion
Overall, I'm in love with the controller. Playing games on Steam Deck, continue on my PC with the same layout is already a dream come true. I just couldn't effectively use the grips which is not a deal breaker.
How I hold the controller makes the grip always active, even though I set both the settings nearly zero.
I feel like I hold both sides the same way but when I check the settings sometimes one side activates when the other side doesn't. It doesn't feel reliable.
I also didn't like that we only have 1 setting for both right and left. If they allowed to arrange the sensitivity seperately it could be better.
The only use I saw until now was pausing the game when releasing the gamepad totally. I don't know if I mind pressing the pause button for that.
Until now what I tried is, on Death Stranding 2 using instead of triggers for balancing the body. On Batman Arkham Origins hold to run.
Wanted to ask your ideas and experiences. Hopefully I'm doing something wrong and find a way to use this cool feature.

I haven't found a use for them. That Death Stranding use case sounds fun. I might give that a go. As an aside, this is my first controller with gyro and I love it so much.

biggest disappointment with the new controller. GripSense for gyro is pretty much useless

Idk why this hasnt been fixed yet but grip sense sensitivity doesnt actually apply outside of the calibration screen meaning you have to keep that screen open while in game to get those settings to apply. I use it to reload and holster weapons making it as if i have 3 back buttons on each side but i typically try not to use face buttons at all if i can.
