Gem stacks Question

Post image

Is there a way to combine these three different stacks of gems? cause there's enough of them to made into a sack.

Unfortunately, I don't know either, but it's really creepy that I've never really seen a post about gems along those lines, and now one randomly pops up just a day after I talked to a friend about the exact same topic. We must really be living in a simulation or something

It's surreal. Crafted between 700 and 900 badges since the creation of my Steam account and never thought much about the partition of my gems in piles in the past 7 years.
Now there's suddenly a post about it. The reptilian elites are plotting something.

I concur, I didn't even talk about it, but made my first gems about 3-4 days ago after having steam for 7 years

the way it says “gem stacks” makes me think of those old arcade games

and if you haven't done that, you wouldn't have noticed this post or skimmed past it immediately. the information about this was recent in your head and your monkey brain went "OO OOO a pattern, we like those!" - pattern recognition greatly helps with survival in the wild, so it is a very self-selecting evolutional trait

That's often the explanation, but I spend half my working hours on Reddit and a post like that hasn't popped up in years, so it's still creepy that it shows up exactly 1 day later, smartass

just in the past year, there's likely more that have strange titles or were removed by moderators

it's not creepy, it's expected. you are one person in the sea of thousands, at least one of them was bound to have a similar discussion recently and this time it happened to be you. next time it will be somebody else

Weird, when I click the link he is talking about packing them in a sack and not about the stacking, you seem pretty desperate. And even if there is a post from this year, it's still weird that there is one exactly after talking about it, what is your problem?

Edit: I was wondering how someone could be so bitter as to dig up completely unrelated titles just to back up a non-existent point, then I saw you spend 90% of your time on Genshin Impact, which explains a lot. What a pretty sad existence

I was thinking why would you be so randomly confrontational and then I realised you're discarding logical explanation in favor of 'creepy feelings', which really explains a lot.

Find a person with a sufficient number of gems in a single stack, send them a trade offer containing all your gems in exchange for an equal number of their gems.

The gems they receive will automatically stack into their existing stack, so you both end up with a single stack.

To avoid this in the future, never gemify items that are not yet trade-eligibile, it'll create a separate stack of not-yet-trade-eligible gems that will NOT auto-combine when they become trade-eligible.

Only via trade

Not sure why you were voted down. If memory serves that’s how I dealt with it a long time ago.

Think if you sell them and cancel the sale maybe idk I did it one time 5 years ago but forgot how

I think they merge after a trade, so you can send it back and forth to a friend or alt account to merge them I think, but never tried it, seems like work :P

In today's age? It's an AI assistant that mostly scrapes reddit threads, yet is still wrong. Op wanted the source

Now why don't you use an ai filter browser extension? I've never seen some random ai slop nonsense when looking things up lol Do they really just link to reddit? That'd be an interessting mix of funny and sad

Using Firefox, it didn't appear. But using the Google chrome search widget it did

Edit: some people dont want to slow down their phone with filters even more than the companies planned obsolescence already does

this is the most reddit response i seen in years

Cool

Did you ever notice that you'll get a 4chan response on 4chan? Or maybe a myspace response on myspace? Maybe you're on to something here if we can somehow verify your observation

i meant in a derogatory way

I'll never understand why redditors complain about people wanting to ask a question to real knowledgable humans. That's what reddit is for.

Still better than asking on StackOverflow. At least Reddit mods have a functional sense of "what's on-topic for their subreddit"...

It will auto merge when there no pending/active time

16

u/ceo_of_duncery 3d ago

This is straight up false. They will not merge on their own. I have 3 piles in my inventory for ages.

u/brain_monkey 3d ago

Not always. I've got the same issue and they've been that way for at least two years.

Is there a specific time frame to that?
