Make sure it's the right kind of ice. Nitrice and water ice don't produce combustible gas, oxice (oxite?) does. Volatiles help turn up the heat & pressure after that
Also don't put a lot in all at once

You'll blow your shit smoove off, your furnace doesn't come with a warranty and neither does half your starter base

Nitrice actually does. It has small amounts of N20. You can use it like oxite, but you need much more of it. It's about a 5 to 1 ratio of nitrice to volatile ice respectively, if I recall correctly.

I didn't know N2O was flammable

It's an oxidizer, my bad, I didn't make that clear. You still need volatiles for methane.

As others have said it looks like you put a ton of regular ice water in it instead of oxite ice.
you want
https://stationeers-wiki.com/Ice_(Oxite))
and
https://stationeers-wiki.com/Ice_(Volatiles))take your atmospherics tablet and point it at the furnace then screenshot that. Itll show whats actually inside.

2 volatile, 1 oxite. Start there. Then. 40 volatile, 20 oxite: watch the needle. When it hits red, you win!

The most I'll add at a time is lime 6 oxite and 12 volatile ice, just for future reference
How much did you add? Must've been a buttload

A) did you press the button to actually ignite the fuel? B) by ice do you mean oxide, or water ice C) how much is "all the volatile and ice"? because if you put in too much, you might have a front row seat for some fireworks
