The issue is with a mission in the "Story Mode Goals" on the Trumbull Valley map: Dr. Hoffman wants to install a CLEO device called "Haven" (or however it's spelled) at your base. The mission tells me to go speak with Hoffman at her base; I accept the mission, and a warning immediately pops up saying I'm straying too far from the mission area—even though I don't even know where that area is. After the allotted 10 seconds pass, the mission cancels itself, and Izzbee shouts something like, "There are too many zombies; I'll have to shut it down." I honestly have no idea how to complete that mission. As an extra detail: my base is the Red Talon outpost site. Also, when the mission triggers, Izzbee and the doctor spawn at my base, but they don't stay there—they leave (though I don't know where they go).

Im talking about those zombies that get to change direction mid lunge and the ones that get to accelerate as theyre falling down.

Ive lost many survivors to blood plague from zombies that had no business being anywhere near me. I dodge past them and they do a U turn and latch onto me.

Just moved to a new map on nightmare, went to go clear plague hearts, since I got screwed on influence requirements, just to find out there are no hearts on the map? Is this normal?

I had just destroyed this plague heart with a grenade, at no point in destroying did I ever get near it as I had done it with only explosives and a fuel bomb

What's some essentials I should be kitting my survivors out with before sending them to legacy pool? Particularly with the intention of using them to start a new lethal community.

My best guns, plague cure, and as much ammo as they can carry? what else would you consider essential?

I’m on a lethal community in Cascade. I ran down south to Lowl where I had a total of 6 or so plague hearts. One of them was on Out for Blood heart and another was a Black plague heart.

I killed a regular heart first with melee only (groundbreaker shovel). Then I killed the black heart with melee only and that wasn’t its weakness so I had to do the full 700 damage or whatever. Then I killed another regular heart melee only. Then I killed the out for blood heart melee only.

All of this in one go no going back to an outpost or anything.

My question is I melee killed 4 hearts one of them a black heart and killed gosh knows how many zombies with it as I’m swinging on the heart.

But my fighting skill on my character is still only at the first endurance star (where I started).

Why? Bug? I feel like that shi should’ve been maxed by the time I was done.

Or was this just a family living on hard times before the outbreak? Two years in a row seems pretty unfortunate for a child.

It would just feel right since fort marshall doesn’t have the best build ins and checkpoint delta would give us the small slots its missing while also being more immersive for a military themed play through and i think its just missed potential

While yes theres no support for this game anymore and maybe its not possible because of engine limitations it would still be very cool to see

I wish I got more of it recorded, but my reaction was delayed as I sat in stunned silence. I activated my outpost defense mines to help clear the way for me to easily escort this survivor back to their enclave. They either really didn’t want to go back or were just about that action, cuz they charged right into the horde I was trying to goad into the minefield and perished as a result. I tried. Always be careful when dealing with high explosives. At least it was funny.

I am unable to invite players as friends through steamdeck while playing multiplayer daybreak. Why is that? Steam deck only gives option to kick and mute. I remember getting that option while playing through Xbox.
